Does this device only have one video in connection for the reverse camera, or does it have reverse camera as well as an aux video in?

It's is like the previous model only with new OS, better and increased performances. May be upgraded to order on 1024x768. See threads for CaFi rooted and/or Led swap T7019A.
GreenPants released some fw for 2.3 (the previous).

Thanks for the link. I love my T7019A but then my needs aren't that intensive. Music , gauges using carscope and HKS OB-Link and race chrono to time laps and the stock Nav app.

Happy enough so don't need a better operating system. Be good if the new version boots up a bit quicker though.

Problem with this version is needing new root files to get torque or carscope or are there root files available already?

Me too! I love it!
I recognize that it functions very well with no issue. About Navi I cannot use anymore Sygic as here I can't download any maps and I paid license!!!!!! and Sygic support is very poor, so I run TomTom that now is fantastic.
Maybe more faster on startup could be attractive. I don't know if are available rooted files for the new one.

There is no rooted files. The rom has some form of encryption But a rooting method does exist... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2528349

I think the big question is... Is root even needed with 4.x and torque

If you look at the xda delevelopers thread in the above post you will see one of the bugs is that Bluetooth is restricted to phone and Bluetooth dongles don't work. It's also mentioned in the FAQs on the same thread.

Not sure if it is the root that creates this issue but suspect it is an issue with the unit. Same as with the Android 2.3 version and the main reason most of us rooted the device.

Further to my previous reply, it may be that without root it "may" work with a USB connected ELM327 rather than Bluetooth.

RaceChrono requires a couple of google map files to run and may need root to stall but you never know.

Guess it will take someone to buy now and give it a try.

I guess I'll be that guy. I have a new T7019A on the way. I'll post my findings!

Excellent. Hopefully a USB ELM327 might work with torque out of the box as it seems the Bluetooth coms won't.

Be interesting to see if RaceChrono will install and run too.

Good luck grasshopper!
