You will just need to have the correct bulbs - the Winjet takes a H-7 and the morimoto XB35 works best

I did a retro and painted the chrome with the shadow paint to get a black chrome look.

Thinking about running this same setup on my Asphalt with the bottom LED strips. Are this the chrome Winjets? Not 100% sure. Also how do the colors match for the two LED strips?

Yes these are Chrome Winjet. I painted the lower portion black because it was too much chrome for me. The LEDs on the Winjets are not as bright as the lower LEDs. The color on the lower LED strip is about 5000k, on the Winjets it's about 5500K. They dont match perfectly but still look good.

How are people finding the quality of these lights, now that they have had them for a little while now? I am having difficulties with some of my aftermarket parts, and I am getting more selective as I don't want to continue to buy parts that seem to have issues. So any help would be appreciated. And to those that have painted their lights, please let me know how the lights are holding up after the custom work. Thanks

Mine are doing fine with 4k miles no issues.

tonystewart 07-27-2014 03:20 PM

No Issues, great product

Winjet HID from Winjet

Before I changed the Carbon fiber wrapped hood to look like ... this one down below...

Only issue I have is SOMETIMES....1 of the lights won't turn on...it's random. The HIDS were installed directly from Winjet so I paid a bit more...but it's not a huge issue...just turn the lights off then back on and POW!!! they are fine...

tonystewart 07-29-2014 10:49 AM

Celigts, which connector (straight D2S or Amp to D2S) do you have for your bulb?

I followed this guide

Pretty happy with the way they turned out, just be patient when taking apart the headlights and when removing the painters tape.

The chrome comes off SUPER easily if using light painters tape, i'd recommend just using newspaper to cover the chrome and tape around the edges. Might as well do a retrofit while you're at it cause the winjet projects aren't that great.

Pretty good for the money. Not as good as other OEM xenons I’ve had, but much better light output, visibility and cutoff than stock halogens. Had a bit of fogging driving up to the canyons in 40 F weather, but didn’t affect visibility.

Didn't realize I've had these 2014. Time flies! Just as an update; I still have them installed. No issues aside from the clear coat eroding. But that was easy enough to fix.
