ECUTek detecting car
Has anyone else ran across this issue?
Fresh install of windows 8, uninstalled and reinstalled everything at least 6 times now, drivers, proecu and apploader. Now stumped. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/z8z3149j1faxfr9/Q0uOdK4S_J |
green light on the cable too
|
Green light only means it recognizes the Ecutek cable. I get the green without being plugged in to the car. Check your OBD2 connector.
|
Try taking the cable and wrapping it around the steering column once so that it puts lateral pressure on the connector. The factory female connector can get worn after plugging in several times.

Ill take the connector down in the morning and check the pinning.. The other issue is not being able to load a rom file. I certainly have no idea what it is asking for. "Unable to Identify Rom Array Class." |
Check this out, it might be helpful

Please use EcuTek Update again which will build you a new version of ProECU. I'm very sorry but we had small issue with our build system which is now fixed. EcuTek Team |

Now, if you open the file and it's full of hieroglyphics then you have a good file that should load. |

I will remember this trick in the future, Definitely a good tip to point at either the installation or the rom file itself. |
