Clamps and Check Valves for FI
So far I have gathered:
Clamps: 1. Both ends of the PCV hose 2. Manifold and check valve end of the brake booster hose 3. Manifold and solenoid end of the Evap hose (both nipples of solenoid?) Check Valve: 1. PCV 2. Evap - necessary to put one here? Does the solenoid allow flow to travel in the opposite direction it was intended during boost? Anything I missed? |
I can only tell you what I did. I ran a vacuum line from the PCV port on the intake manifold to my vacuum manifold with no clamp. I did not touch the brake booster line from the OEM setup. The OEM PCV line off the block does not have a clamp on it, but when I had my intake manifold off, I went ahead and added a clamp to the hose which went to my vented catch can just so it wouldn't fall off as it doesn't see vacuum or boost now. I added a clamp to all the vacuum lines under the intake manifold when I removed it. I didn't use any check valves as I had a vented catch can for the PCV.
