Perrin exhaust

Thinking about picking up a perrin cat back but im not sure whether to go with a 2.5 or 3 inch, im not gonna turbo it most likely due to funds and I wanna keep the warranty good.. so what ive picked up is prolly only go 3 if you think youll turbo it at some point?? also do I ned anything extra for the install like hangers or clamps??

It comes with everything you need for the install. Simple and Easy.

Personally, I love the 3" exhaust sound on even the NA setups. The 3" catback has shown to make a bit more power over the 2.5" system we have.

While it does gain more power, lots argue that it's not enough. Luckily, it also produces an amazing sound (in my opinion).

Feel free to PM me or let me know if you have any more questions!

@PERRIN_Mladen how is the sound of a 3"perrin catback with headers on? too loud?

I'm curious how the 3" sounds as well. I'm planning on staying NA, but may be tempted to go FI in the future and I'd rather not buy my exhaust twice.

@PERRIN_Mladen

How loud is it inside, though... My Q300 drones like mad (has a leak I have not been able to fix) and it buzzes throughout the cabin to the point it sometimes gets hard to even speak inside...

I might end up switching to the Perrin 3" to match my 3" front pipe.

Who wants me to take a video? Motiv overpipe/midpipe borla headers and 3" perrin exhaust.

Me... I know the borlas make things extremely loud, though...

3" here. Sounds awesome IMO. It's deeper and only comes resonated. Check youtube there are good quality videos around now.

3" is the way to go.

Eg0 02-16-2014 05:51 AM

Any drone with the 3"?

You must be talking about the N1 because the Q300 is probably the quietest catback there is. That system had 0 drone for me.

hey guys quick question, how is the 3" when you put on a UEL header with it? just the header. i heard that the 3" is like the unresonated 2.5. but with a deeper more refined tone. i'm not sure tho, once you put on a header to it. would it be too loud?

Q300, it gets worse when it rains, it doubles in loudness... I had to dynamat my trunk and it helped a bit...

I have no clue what it could be... I've tightened the band clamp to 60ft/lb and I've re-seated the pipe many times and still drones...

Maybe it's the Perrin 3" front pipe, but when I had the stock catback, volume only increased slightly.
