Product Support
Retail customers purchasing RaceROM BRZ and any Flash Licenses required must do so through their Master Tuner. Unlike other tuning solutions, a single kit may be used to tune several vehicles such as for an owners club or a group of friends, providing a cost effective solution.

ProECU BRZ and RaceROM BRZ are exclusively available through, and supported by, EcuTek Master Tuners. The Master Tuner is not expected to teach the customer how to tune their vehicle but they are expected to support the product in the usual manner. For retail customers who wish to learn more about tuning their own vehicle, this is an opportunity for all EcuTek Tuners to provide tuning courses and dyno time to assist the customer in learning about and tuning their own vehicle.

I'm honestly wondering if this is a hoax. It was just so unexpected. :)

Pure Automotive 12-17-2013 02:25 PM

Its real!! We knew a month ago but were sworn to secrecy!

Hawaiian 12-17-2013 02:28 PM

So, if i read this right, it adds another $400 to the cost of the tune... how is this competative?

Edit:i see moto says it's free. The suggested retail price of $399 line threw me off.

xxscaxx 12-17-2013 02:35 PM

RaceROM is 399.

Brody602 12-17-2013 02:43 PM

So this was the big announcement we've all been waiting?:)

p.s. I believe this thread belongs more in the software/tuning section.

xxscaxx 12-17-2013 02:50 PM

There is already one in there. They are all over the place lol

looks like it depends on which dealer you get it from. So perhaps anywhere from $1000-$1300. The master tuner closest to me (255mi) offers a hardware rental option where they take off $270 for returning the cable. I imagine other tuners do similar things.

you can't leave them the cable if you're tuning your own car, silly :)

if it's $1000+ they had better have a lot more than speed density up their sleeve. you can get an openport for $169, OFT for what, $500? speed density is nice if you need it (and i do), but i'm not sure that's a great value. the other features i don't much care for (electronic boost control, flex fuel, etc).

Do I need the $399 RACEROM-tune-it-yourself option to be able to tweak ignition timing advance? Intake or Exhaust Cam angles?

If I could guess the price would be license and cable which would put you right aroud 600. Maybe a little more if you wanting a base tune from the tuner. Thats just my guess
