Hey mike. I'm the blue BRZ that was at Bremerton on the 10th. Next Bremerton event we'll have to get together. I'd be curious to see what you can do on stock tires.

Nice to some of you in NW Racing

If you make it East, we have nice season with 2day events monthly. Ave 6-8 total runs per day on an old airport runway.

I plan to maybe run Tri City event too some point this year, heck maybe your direction too!

Last event a Miata got me by .6, next event I hope to be closer, Run Faster!!!

Well, looks like those with MS-R and Z0Ks got hosed to pave the way for the toyobaru. I'm indifferent on this as I don't own any of these (yet), but I'm sure the top 5 finishers at Nats last year in CS are none too happy...

FWIW...

Per the SAC, the following new listings are effective immediately upon publication:
Scion FR-S CS (#8242)
Subaru BRZ CS (#8242)
Comment: The SAC spent a considerable amount of time deciding on the proper class for the FR-S and BRZ, and came up with the conclusion that C Stock would be the best fit if the MSR and ZOK were moved to B Stock. They also felt that this would allow the MX-5 without the MS-R package a chance to be more competitive. The SEB agreed.

They're not going anywhere. They get decimated by what is in B Stock. S2k,S2k CR, Kappas w/ turbos and bigger wheels, and even boost buggies. The Miata and NA Kappas are behind the 8 ball vs the high revving RX8, and the torquey 370z which can fit huge tires.

It's dead proposal just like kill all the sub 200 treadwear tires in Street Touring.

Behind the 8-ball?

4 of the top 5 at 2011 Nats were Z0Ks. The other was an MX-5 (and probably an MS-R). In 2010, the top 3 were all in MX-5s as well. One last bit-Z0Ks can fit 295 hoosiers on their wheel. It's insanely awesome to look at.

And upon second reading of the FasTrack, I saw that it was just a proposal. I'm with you...it will get canned.

IMO, I think it is somewhat silly that they are trying to realign the classes a bit to make the Suboya a top dog. It's only been out a month or two...let things develop for the platform before you propose shuffling cars around.

I was hoping for ES. Oh well.

One thing to consider: moving the ZOK and MS-Rs to BS will not necessarily put the BRZ in the top spot in CS. The 370Z and NB Miata ('99 Sport) will remain and possibly be top dogs, I believe more so than the RX-8's. Arguably the 370Z should be the top car in the current mix, however very few have been developed and campaigned. Would the next front runner to get in the way of the BRZ moved to BS as well?

I also agree that the ZOK and MS-R would not be competitive in BS. The Solstice GXP (turbo) is faster than the base ZOK given the same driver; if not there is something wrong.

I believe FS could use a refresh. Very few folks are buying Mustangs for autocross. Admittedly there would be a drastic course dependency if you were to put a 2013 GT up against a BRZ.

I agree. In the end I think there will be enough CS Toyobarus this year to find a good permanent home for it. The statement in Fastrack about moving the Z0K and MS-R playing a role in its CS classification was a mistake in my opinion since it's not a done deal.
