Door does not trigger dome light

As the title stated: (2013 BRZ)
Upon opening driver, or passenger door the dome light does not turn on.
Proximity key does not turns the dome light on neither.
It works when switched to "On".
Both doors lower the windows and the lights on the door pockets turn on too.
Checked fuses (found 2 in the owners manual) in the engine bay.
Measured the voltage on the dome light and it only outputs 3 volts...
Disconnected the battery for an hour.
Any other fuses I need to hunt down?

Have a dealer appointment on Wednesday for an oil change,
just want to make sure I do not get the "run around" at the dealer.

it's a 3 way switch, did you leave it in the middle?

**i actually always leave it in the off position so as to not bring attention to myself when entering a car at night. Ninja mode.

well that..

and nothing says "i'm not paying attention and my door is open" like a bright light (not to mention it blinds you to your surroundings).

petty thieves are thieves of convenience, i know if i was a thief i'd be praying on these people no problem, snatch and run like a boss.

might sound paranoid but safety first :)

Ahh, just making sure since you'd gone through the trouble of testing the voltage.
Do you have anything aftermarket wired up?

As you may know, there is a fuse box under the dash.

I don't know if any of them are associated with your problem, but you may have a look at them.

Exactly. My neighbor has a new dodge ram quad cab, he installed every bright led he could into the interior/exterior lights. I was walking from my living room to my kitchen the other night and saw a bright ass light that looked like it was coming from my yard. Nope. It was him unloading his kid from the back seat of the truck, had the drivers door open, the driver side passenger door open, the rear bed light was on and the puddle lights were on since the doors were open. Looked like a Skrillex concert in his driveway.

Well, Looks like a new BIU Controller.
Part is on order and have an appointment for January 6th.
Dealer wanted a full day, (with the Holidays and all) so he has plenty of time, seems like the car needs to be reprogrammed too.
They just wanted to know if I "cut" any wires or added LED's...
(None were added or wires cut)

this happened on my previous car as well.
ever since that i don't use LEDs for interior

I just leave mine in the 'off' position since 'door' just dims the LED panel in the dome.

mine does that too but only after i installed a heavy modified dome led light assy. basically two light connected together to have one light per clear spot in the lens. i have an appt. to see the dr. as well.
it worked correctly before i went all modified on it...
