MAKE YOUR LOUD AFTERMARKET EXHAUST QUIET(er)

Whats up guys.....
my brz is the loudest F***ing thing in the world with the j2 exhaust........
its soooo loud its actually annoying..
now i put headers and its louder than ever...

lets put it this way.... this brz is way louder than my dads c4 corvette that makes 500 to the wheels with straight thru mufflers... the brz just sounds like a chainsaw on roids / gunshots / construction site / race car / and a drone that will make your ears bleed....... i know if i dont quiet it down i will get pulled over all the time... you can hear me coming from a mile away.....

im looking for universal quiet flow mufflers to replace the j2 fart cans in the back of the exhaust........ any ideas???????

i need a muffler that will make it tolerable and less noise. i could win a db competition right now

So you're looking for an axleback to replace the mufflers and keep your existing J2 midpipe? What's your exhaust setup as of now from the headers back? (headers, overpipe, front pipe, catback)

q300 is very quiet. but you can also just use stock catback, you shouldnt lose too many gains that you got from the header.

What is your actual exhaust setup? I have the j2 dual catback, and think it is quite tolerable. Did you remove front pipe cat?

Put the stock muffler back on ..... ??

Lol I have stock headers and mids and a muffler delete and it sounds pretty throaty, I love it. No rasp, minor drone around 3k RPM.
I can only imagine what it will sound like with UEL headers but I'm stoked.

I like my cars loud though so maybe I'm immune.

It's funny how you said J2 exhaust is f***ing loud, THEN you installed header, and it's louder than ever.

Anyways, if I were you, I would remove the J2 exhaust, use stock front pipe and choice of quieter aftermarket exhaust. It'll cost you some money to quiet down the exhaust, but it's overall better for your ears not to bleed, right? :)

Q300, Perrin resonated, stock, lots of quieter options for loud catless headers. I'd avoid the dual canister designs and look at the larger muffled systems like the ones I listed.

just have a shop put in resonators

are you getting complaints from outside the car, or while driving?

False, lol, resonators don't do much for volume on these cars when you change the header. I know... I have 3 of them in my system.. they will tone down the rasp a little bit, bu they don't do much for volume.

Too bad they don't make a 3" nvidia Q300.. I think going bigger diameter but still using a suitcase style muffler may be the ticket... deeper tone with moderate volume.
