I like that one alot, looks like its stock besides the rear rims swapped out.....

RRnold 04-25-2012 02:55 PM

Is it me or does the stock 86's seem to be drifting better/smoother than the modified and heavily modified 86's we've been seeing lately. :iono:

Yes, that's a stock car. Only the wheels & tires were changed, rest nothing done to it.

EIDT now that i look at it, its not the same car :P but still are both driftable :D but could use a bit more power on the longer corners, transitions are quick and precise though :D

I'll humbly admit thats going to be me, you'll see me around sir carbon! :happy0180:

(BRZ :P)

Honestly i can kind of agree from a competition stand point, he def needs more power on longer curves. But from a fun stand point, its perrrfect!

He said he didn't need power on longer curves, but need to somehow make more angle. Which = suspension work

STJ 04-25-2012 05:16 PM

Haha Japan! The track is full of Silvia's :D The drifter finally have something new that they can drift, luckely because any longer and they would have started running out of old Silvia to drift.

Another thing hope nissan is watching this, there a bunch of idiot for canceling the S16!!!.

If that's the case, how 200~300hp AE86 make better angles then some of 500~900hp cars? Yes, power is important, but if that's the case only then Vettes would of been winning all the D1GP & FD

The way the car iscurrently set up it, the mechanical grip is so great even on the stock eco tires that it can t hold long drifts, during long drifts the tires heat up even more and begin to girp better, so drifting from the right hander through that small straight and then into the next right hander, the car starts to loose the ability to overcome the grip as thr tires melt into the ground, in the first vid you can see the silvia power on and the 86 straightens out, a 50 HP bump should cure this, as for me ill be happy with its stock ability to drift :) looks like the car reponds well , cant wait to put sticky tires on and run some hot laps, and put crappy tires on for drift days :)

I wasnt trying to state more power = better angle more so more power = ability to hold angle :)
