GoPro Hero 3 Black Vs Hero 3+ Black?

I'm looking to buy one of the two but don't know which. I know many of you are GoPro fans and play around with their toys. I've watched a few comparison videos on youtube. However, I can hardly tell a difference. It seems like its just a color effect and wider angle.

REGLAR BLACK Possible Cons:
I've heard that the regular black edition freezes, poor battery life, drain battery while off, and heat up? T/F??

Prices are: $329.99 vs $399.99 worth it? Or should I even go with the Hero 3+ silver ( Seems like the regular Black edition renamed?)

So far I haven't heard of any complaints about 3+ Black.

Firmware update solves all issues for Regular Black?

yeah! see on GoPro site, near download and you'll read all release feature (probably if you buy a new production it will be updated yet). Mine never frozen and bought in June from UK store. It runs very well.

I guess I'm trying to get convinced to go for 3+ lol
I would like to hear more feedback from others.

Sorry to dredge this back up, but anyone have an opinion with respect to the focal length issue? It sounds like the 3 may be better than the 3+ for motorsports because it has infinite focus. But in practice, does it matter?
