I thought all Japanese cars typically don't come with stereos but a blank cover in the middle. :iono:

Panda Supra one make race bring it ORN!!! Can't wait to see those opened air ducts all over the body.

The ZF 8HP is a heavy transmission. It wouldn't surprise me that just because you can get the 4 cyl in a manual you lose 150 lbs right there.

They’ll keep 86. Price difference is big. Base 86 starts from 2,623,320yen. No way base Supra gonna come that close. Even GT Limited Black Package is 3,423,600yen, (for AT ver) even them still cost another 1,000,000~1,500,000 for it (Toyota JP haven’t officially announced for the Supra yet). & that doesn’t sound that bad... but reality is, you can get all the luxury option in high end 86 vs base Supra, you loose almost all of em. Why you wanna do that? There are ppl who doesn’t care bout those “luxury” options, but those ppl are rare kind of ppl. So in that view, 86 & Supra even 4 cylinders will be in different price category.

Will they keep the 86 alive in North America?

Wasn't this whole "please buy the 4-cylinder" fiasco disproven as some journalist BS?

So much monochrome... need's a green and an orange. At least there is a red and yellow.

No Lava!!! @Tcoat will be besides himself...

Is that royal saphire pearl? I have to say, MKIV had some great colors. Baltic blue, anthricite, royal saphire pearl.

The yellow would do just fine since it isn't a pastel sort of tone.

I am fine with that from the pictures. I liked the RS1 yellow in picture but when I saw one in real life I was no longer a fan since it was too yellow.

I'm wondering whether you've acquired a subconscious attraction to your avatar... As your taste for yellow is finely tuned... Too yellow or too pale won't hit the spot..

Nah I had yellow cars way before the avatar existed.

The USA won't get anything but the b58 3.0 turbo model? As much as I like this car I don't think my next daily will be a gas car. You will need to pry the FRS out of my cold dead hands. Soon mine will be a track/weekend toy. Plan to get a cheap 25k all electric car in 3-4 years when the big boys get behind the movement.

So apparently my $250,000 guess was a little short. You know, controversy spurs interest.

Renaissance Red 2.0
Nitro Yellow
Downshift Blue
Absolute Zero White
Tungsten Silver
Turbulence Gray
Nocturnal Black
Phantom Matte Gray

Funny thing, the colours in the UK are called the following:

Prominence Red
Black Metallic
White Metallic
Deep Blue Metallic
Silver Metallic
Ice Gray Metallic
Lightning Yellow, and finally the special limited edition
Storm Grey matt paint ... Target audience perhaps different in the UK as the car is falling in the £50-£60k bracket competing with Porsche, BMW and Audi etc..

https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...mw-z4-engines/

So it's far more than just euro spec fuel filters. Can't say I'm happy....

At this point, if the car is already heavy at 3300lbs and the introductory engine is neutered, I'll just wait and pray for an AWD hybrid version at the end of the line.

WolfpackS2k 01-29-2019 09:49 AM

AWD hybrid?

wtf

that's the antithesis of the Twins AND the Supra.

tennisfreak 01-29-2019 09:59 AM

Does anyone know what the specific model/revision of the B58 the m240i has?

Asking because many people, including myself, put tunes on them and run 400+hp with ease and reliability.

Its ok, the mkv is an automatic, 2 seater car with a German engine that is produced in Austria. What harm could adding AWD and hybrid power do at this point?

AWD Hybrid is exactly what you need to live your life one 1/4 mile at a time.

Btw, not a problem for the Porsche 918 and future AWD Mustang Hybrid. One step up on the dated GTR too.

krayzie 01-29-2019 06:54 PM

So funny they are spending so much effort using the Supra name for historical reasons yet trying just as hard to push its audience into the technological future. This is a conflict of interest that is inherit with the car.
