The Bimmer has a tad higher pitch sound. M2 is an inline 6 twin scroll turbo? The Supra video sounds like a lawn mower.

Why are people so close to this car and not taking more interior shots? Seems silly to me

krayzie 03-31-2017 03:02 PM

Wow I hope the new Supra doesn't come with a BMW interior. I think Toyota does a way better job from seeing their LC500.

I read somewhere that the new Twin will share the same platform as the new Supra.

Well, I read that the new Supra is secretly a Corolla with the engine mounted in the trunk. They just plan to send it down the manufacturing line backwards to make it front engined and rear-wheel drive. Then they install all the body panels and interior bits so nobody will the difference.

if the Toyota version will feature a BMW motor than i would agreed. BMW is phasing out the N55.

If Supra comes with BMW I6 and you're planning to get one, you should stock up on every gasket, check for oil leak every 3 months. You think it can't be that bad, but that was also what my BMW owner friends told me when they got the car. It only goes downhill from when you get the car.
