Swp rust during winter

1 Attachment(s)
Soo washed my car for the first time since we started getting snow, bit over a month. Just did one of the esso touch less ones(worked pretty good).

Aaaand pretty sure I know the meaning of the rail dust I've been hearing about..

But it's EVERYWHERE, and noticeable.

Is this a normal amount? Does it hurt to leave it?
I waxed my car a couple times leading up to winter..
I guess I'm just surprised at how fast it came up, month ago before I got winter crap covering it it was spotless.

Thanks in advance ft86club, love y'all.

Thanks Zion, still not helping my cause on what other people experience during the WINTER months and this paint.

I would take it back to the dealership. They're all aware of rail dust/rust but it appears none of them do any thing about it until the customer complains. It happens to all cars that travel by rail but only is noticeable on white cars. The dealership has a mild acidic wash that is not harmful to the finish or any trim that will take it off. I would put it in their lap.

I read that this is caused by the "pearl" in the paint which is actually metals that will continue to rust.. Or is it from being transported by train and should be a one off thing once it's dealt with?

Clay bar = 10$ fix.

do you park the car next to or near active train tracks?

you can still get rail dust on the car after delivery... looks very much like the rail dust, or some other metal flakes that are sticking to your car and rusting in the wet weather.

I actually had my race pads do this on the passenger side door after a wet day at the track.
