Buttonwillow 13CW 1:57.3

Currently the overall record for the FRS/BRZ. Only 20 seconds slower than the new record set by FXMD...

Installs, Engine/Dyno tuning, and maintenance: @Evasive Motorsports
Suspension and Aero tuning: @CounterSpace Garage
Corner Balance and Alignment: West End (and Evasive when West End is booked up)
Cooling: @robispec

I feel some thank yous are in order.

First and foremost, @ImperiousRex for allowing me the opportunity to set up and drive his car.

@Evasive Motorsports for maintaining and installing the vast majority of the parts on this car, and staying open late to make things happen. Additionally, I would not be where I am now, if I had not discovered Evasive when I had started driving a few years ago.

@robispec for the cooling solution that allows this car to keep cool enough to run several hot laps back to back, as well as allowing me to drive/test his car on numerious occasions
West End Alignment, for dead-on cornerbalances and alignments. Their work is a form of art in itself.

@CounterSpace Garage for giving me the opportunity to drive the CSG BRZ (different from the ImperiousRex BRZ), which gave me the seat time necessary to learn the platform, experiment with setup, and figure out what works for the platform.

Pffttt... what's 20 seconds?

ModBargains.com 12-10-2013 12:28 PM

Damn that's quick. Nice job!

solidONE 12-11-2013 01:15 AM

Quick as always, but I'm pretty sure you can do better than that with this setup, Mike.

Need more seat time... a lot more seat time. I think the car might be capable of dropping into the 54's with no changes. Need Maxrev to drive it..

54... Maxrev has enough records. lol Gotta represent the ft86club, yo. :respekt:

Having max tune flashbacks watching your video...

looks like that impreza may have cost you a second on that lap; very nice.

I think I mentioned this in the Evasive thread, but my lord that track looks ROUGH; this coming from a Sebring regular, where I'll usually have to get my dental fillings re-done after a weekend there.

Oh, and what's the suspension setup?

Oh, and what's the suspension setup?

It's on JRZ RS, with 9k front 11k rear.

And yeah, the track surface is pretty rough... but if you think this is bad, you should see Streets of Willow... :faint:

Nice job, Mike! I'm guessing this car is no longer NA?

This is Ted (ImperiousRex)'s car.

It's got a Greddy Turbo kit on it, and was running the 91 octane tune for the video (250whp per Evasive)

We just got a 2014 that will be boosted shortly...

Awesome! Next year is going to be a "fast" year.
