Share your Unichip mapping w/mods
I have not seen any thread talk about which mapping you prefer on the Unichip. Let post up your mods and the mapping you like. ENJOY!!
Since i created this thread, I will start. Only mods i have so far is AEM intake with fuel out and timing in (most aggressive). |
My mods are TRD intake, Lachute performance OP/cat delete FP, and the map that I like the most (suprinsingly) is TRD intake, all headers, Fuel out timing in. I am running 94 octane only as well.
For some reason the headers map pulls noticeably more than the all catback map that unichip said was likely to run best. I also asked, and they say there are no risks in running the headers map, as long as the map is for the correct intake... |

Honestly, its a waste of time and money now that i have had the experience of a proper tune. Sorry for the brutal honesty.

currently fuel +/timing +
I tried fuel~/timing~, fuel -/timing ~, fuel ~/timing + mods below: |

Unichip can't: Scale port injectors directly (I.e. Without a maf hack) Scale direct injectors at all (no e85 for you!) Modify knock control parameters Adjust advance independent of base timing Control di/port ratio (crucial to getting things right in the first place) Adjust dbw maps Many, many, many more So basically you can't really do anything with it beyond tricking the ecu into adjusting fuel or timing. None of the vast subie knowledge on the Internet applies, can't use the common tools, and there will just be many issues that simply cannot be properly fixed with any piggyback because you just flat-out can't do what you need to do. |

It feels like it pulls a little better. Plus with the cooler air I wanted to add fuel. |

i think unichip is probably the best piggyback out there, but it's still a piggyback, and there isn't much need for them when flashes can be had so inexpensively. |
