side skirt installation causing rust?

I couldn't find much information on this issue, but for those who drilled into the metal part of the car for side skirt installation, will there be rusting issues a couple years down the road?

I just put a generous amount of grease on the screws and bolts.

but with regular car washes grease will eventually be washed away in a year or two and that place is hard to reapply without taking off the side skirt which makes the drilled part vulnerable to rust.

i really want to install side skirts but i live in Toronto where there's a lot of salt in the winter. i'm wondering for those who drilled, is rusting a real concern or no?

Then use automotive grade silicone.

Drill hole, Grab a Qtip and dip it in some rust-prevention paint and swirl around the hole, Let dry 10-18min and install.

You want to got the extra mile do the above then use Transtar Amber Rust Proofing and it's 36" 360* spray flexible undercoating wand. Stuff the want into the holes and coat the piss out of the inside. Let it drip for the next 2 hours. Clean off the outside with some acetone and then install. Remember the rockers aren't sealed from the factory. The pinch weld is spot welded and there are holes to allow drainage and stuff to enter.

So should you paint the areas where you drilled the holes you're not compromising it's ability to withstand rust anymore than OEM did. These cars will be rust buckets in a few years anyway. Just peel the wheel liner from the back of the front fender and in front of the tire on the rear wheel well and look what has already accumulated.
