Gauges Positioning

I want to position 3 gauges next to each other, somewhere in the car without a gauge pod. Has anyone done this and found a nice place for them? The dash goes up in the centre so it doesn't seem they would fit to the left(right of your steering wheels, I'm rhd) of the steering wheel. So yeah, if you're running gauges just plonked on the dash, post up pics!

Thinking of positioning them here but the legs on the pods are pretty big and the surface isn't flat. Any issues with them being on the speaker?

Here is nice, but it's only 2 guages. You could probably put the third in the right hand air vent or something.

I drove a car with this gauges setup installed, and the gauges are very easy to see, and they aren't blocked by the steering wheel like I was originally expecting.

This was made by Prime Motoring in New Jersey, USA. I believe you can call them up and order one, but they're made-per-order.

i quite like them in a line on the dash though, old school style, just wondering if anyone else has found good placement for them?

placing them in the middle ( top of the dash) gives you a clear them; thats if you like having them sitting with no pods, below is an extreme example from one of our vehicles.
i opted for the pod pictured above and if i do need more i will add one in the vent, and the only reason is that i want to build a sleeper

Some guy made a custom setup, but covers up the analog speedo. Doesn't bother me as we have the digital speedo.

This guy does made-to-order defroster vent guage pod (still leaves your defrost vent available), up to 2 pods: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...ed6&highlight=

Edit:

Here's a post from the "wideband" thread in the FI subforum showing this ^^ guy's defrost vent dual gauge pod installed with gauges:

You can use those dual pods with the ATI vent pod to get the 3 pods the OP wanted without having to mod the gauge cluster bezel.

Since I'm probably going to only go SC, not turbo, I only need a dual pod: AFR Gauge, and MTX Dual Function Oil Pressure/Temp gauge. The Vent pod is still an option for other things if needed later (like a meth gauge/controller or something if I decide to get crazy stupid later on).

Nice! I was thinking of how I was going to get three gauges in the car!

price is pretty decent too!
