TRDE Exhaust and cold intake value?

I can't find a lot searching so I thought I'd ask.

First, I haven't had a fun car for about ten years now. I'm due something fun. I'm not going to put it on a track or go nuts but when I last had a fun car the two "easiest" and non warranty voiding things you could do to squeak out more performance was exhaust and intake.

What's different is that there are dealer/port options for those vs after market. I can't find any reviews on the TRD exhaust, and only found one intake review that said go Perrin but appeared link baity / sponsored vs review.

I also don't have any equipment to install stuff. I sold my equipment a few years after I sold my fun car so I'd need to buy even the most basic tools to take things apart/lift off the ground again so that cost is factors into my question too.

I mean if exhaust can be had for 500 less but costs me 500 in jack stands and what not but gives nothing else I'm not sure it's worth it to go aftermarket vs port installed

Any thoughts? Thanks.

There are threads on them but the forum search doesn't like 3 letter searches. But google comes to the rescue:

The TRD Exhaust will be one of the most quiet catback systems out there, and also one of the most expensive. The power gains and flow will on the lower side of things due to the restrictive (ie: small) midpipe. However, if you're looking for a deep smooth tone that's louder than stock but not annoying, the TRD is a good choice. If you shop around, you can probably have it for around $900 and the install is super easy with nothing more than a jack and basic sockets.

As for the TRD intake, I can't comment on it since I went with a different brand. However, TRD is typically up there in terms of build quality but probably on the more conservative end in terms of performance. And again, the install would basically be a screw driver and probably maybe a basic socket set.

Hope that helps
