How's the car holding up at this power level? How many miles do you have running the 13psi pulley?

This is the first journal I took a good look at. Awesome numbers and I bet it's a hoot to drive. Congrats on the nice clean look and the giant boost! Mine is only a month old and I am gathering info and ideas and doing some basics - Nameless pipe/exhaust. I will do their header and have been considering the Vortech. You make a great case :)

I guess I am a bit of a Vortech cheerleader with this thread. And yes I am really happy with the SC so far. No heat issues on 100deg days pushing hard (usually 220-230 max for the oil) and really smooth power delivery. No lag and no surprises.

If I could do it all again I might have scooped up one of the 20-30+ FI cars I've seen in the classifieds. It's an epidemic with so many of these "dream projects" that people changed their mind on and sold. At a huge loss.

One thing I would recommend against is a header with the SC.. I'm convinced it's less than 5hp gained if not zero.

Also - interesting fuel pump change - I am assuming no "crickets" with this one. Price is right too. My dealer is going to do a swap but this is likely to accomplish nothing. What kind of difference did you see with the injectorlectomy along with the fuel pump?

Also - thanks for tip on header. I don't like replacing things that are working.

And - you didn't swap your back axles either? Lots of people are spinning horror stories about breaking the stock ones.

I've spoke to a few tuners on phone now and that exact comment came out. Which I mean of going SC is a good things save the dough and remain quieter to.

Nice build indeed.

Woo hoo, siting here next to a sleeping baby and on a roll today.

About diffusers: they are a 'because racecar' mod because of the conditions needed to make a zone of low pressure under the car: a low if not unstreetable ride height ideally with the front lower than the rear, and a smooth underbody. And I think we will move more and more toward designs that take into account the areas of higher temperatures around the exhaust, at least for cars outside of F1, etc where it is banned.

So for anything including the twins it really should be on a lowered car sporting some kind of underpanels. And the further forward the diffuser extends, the better.. toward where we have that chasm for the diff and control arms.

And then I don't think the term 'downforce' is very helpful when you see it measured in lbs or kg. How much downforce in these brats and burgers?

It's not all the same when there is a 'price tag' in aero drag. The cool thing about a good diffuser is that it produces negative lift AND reduces drag vs a wing whose low pressure zone comes with a bigger penalty in drag. OK that's it. The smart people can talk now.:bonk:

is it just me that wasnt able to understand anything you wrote cause of the picture with beautiful woman grilling? :confused0068: If shes your wife/gf You're a lucky man, and I mean no disrespect.
