OpenFlash Tablet Mounting Option for FR-S

Greetings,
Someone just sent us these pics and they say each picture is worth a 1000 words so start reading ;) The How-to is pretty self explanatory by the images alone. The job only takes about 10 minutes and it looks like the only thing you need is a dremel tool. And since the surgery area is visible once everything is reinstalled, you don't need to be an artist about it :)

It's also worth noting that once the OFT is pushed back in the cubby that it stays put nicely since the cubby tapers down and clamps lightly around the OFT's enclosure. So it won't rattle or bang around once it's in there :)

And when the OFT is not in use for prolonged periods of time, you can simply unplug it and hide the OBD2 connector under the floormat as shown below. Keeping it plugged in does cause a very minor current draw since it keeps the OFT powered up. Nothing to be concerned with when keeping it plugged in overnight but definitely unplug it when leaving the car for a longer period of time:

I have one of these cell phone holders that mounts in the CD tray. When I'm using the OF, I open up the adjusters and put it in the mount. Works good enough and is totally visible. I have the mount setup for landscape mode on my phone and leave it that way for the OF. It isn't centered, but when clicked tight it stays in place.

I have one, and the first time I did a WOT pull, the OFT flew right off. The smooth edges of the device didn't help.

Mine did too, then I squeezed it hard enough to click one more time...and it was ok after that.

So either I have stronger fingers than you, or your car is just too fast ;)
