Request for pics of stock 215/45 tire on 8" wheel?

Hi all,

I'm looking to see if anyone has pics or experience with the stock 215 45 tire on an 8" wheel. I did some searching and can't seem to find too much. I started to open all of the "17x8" wheels in the wheel directory, but most of y'all replaced the tires with wheels, and about 10 threads in I got discouraged.

I bought a lighter wheel (17x8 tsw nurburgring) for form and function, but I'm still not at the point where I'm really going to benefit from a nice tire yet. I'd like to go through the stock tires (considering they really aren't worth much anyways) before upgrading, and really want to know if stretching the 215 45s over an 8" wheel works okay.

I also don't want it to look obnoxious or be unsafe, so I thought I'd ask. I've got no problems spending money to replace the tires, but would rather stick with stock since I've got them, for now.

Thanks for the input

Not stock tires, but the sectional width will tell you what it will look like. Frankly this is like running a 235 tire on a 9" wide wheel, slightly stretched.

Yeah, and that's kinda what I was looking for though is what the appearance was with just the stock tire. I'm not sure exactly what to expect, so I like to be able to see some examples. Thanks though

Again, it's simple: you just need to look for any tire that is one size too small for the wheel width.

So a 225 on a 8.5" wheel, 235 on 9", etc etc. The sidewalls will all look the same, more or less.

It will work for your purpose, just don't expect miracle performance out of stock tires and you'll be fine.
