De-badging

So, Ive already pulled off the BRZ and Subaru written emblems. anyone else pull of the front and rear insignias yet? are there holes or anything that would make it unattractive? Seems that the front one is set into the bumper but I cant tell. Thanks

Both have two pins that fit into holes in the body, and the front one has an indentation around it. You'd need to do do something to fill the holes to debadge the rear, and something to fill the holes and the indentation to debadge the front.

I personally wouldn't debadge the maker's badge. The lettering? Absolutely. The badges? Naaaah.

But that's just my personal inclination.

Yeah, I understand. Its just so much fun for people to walk up to me and ask "WHAT kind of SUBARU is THAT?" Thought it would be fun if they had no clue as to what type of car it was in general. BUT, if I debadged everything...someone might mistake it for a scion....that would make me sad. (totally intended sick burn) :D

You can't debadge that without some minor body work, quite expensive for something so small if you ask me.

I was thinking about doing this myself but its just too expensive for something that it just cosmetic. What do you guys think of plasti-dipping over the Subaru emblem or plasti-dipping the emblem and then spray paint over it with the same color paint of the body?

might work, could probably put some tape and playing cards around the emblem to plastic dip a few coats before you spray and clear. Would depend on the color of the BRZ if it would look ok or not. Still not going to look as good as just leaving the emblem alone in my opinion.

I've been waiting for someone to make a body colored piece that will bolt right in

My car is WRB so it's probably not going to look that great compared to a color like silver, black, or a white car.

I agree someone should make a replacement emblem or at least sell a vinyl cover.

If I had a 3d printer, i had the idea of a subie / toyota fused emblem, but all the ideas I visualized had too much going on. However, if someone could make a 86 badge... That might be cool.
