OpenFlash Tablet Stage 2 v1.33 Customer Datalog
This was just forwarded to me by the guys at Vishnu. It was a customer datalog that was sent to them yesterday. They thought it would be a good idea to post it up for public viewing. This way more people can get comfortable with analyzing data logs. it's a big 11min long datalog that can be viewed and configured in its entirety here:
http://datazap.me/u/shivvishnu/openf...?1-2-7-9-11-12 Here's a screen shot of a zoomed in section showing a multi-gear pull: http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k4...ustomerlog.jpg You can see that the throttle wasn't fully open for the 1st gear. So it's only really worth looking the 2nd and 3rd gear. During this section you can see that ignition advance multiplier stays at 1.0. Fuel trims are low and AFR is spot-on in the 12.5 - 12:0 range (getting towards the richer side of the range as revs increase) If view the log in the datazap link provided and plot ignition advance you can see that it's consistent in each gear with little to no mid-gear drop outs (knock retard). I'm not sure what more to say as the log is reasonably uneventful (meaning quite good). Hopefully the customer will chime in here and continue to post data :) |
This is all very new to me. Is there a manual, tutorial or web site that gives you the basics on understanding all this? I'm sure there is, but I've lost track of what I read where regarding this stuff. Thanks!

looks like a happy car, that's for sure. I wish we got 93 octane around here.
|
Thank you for the informative post.
I'm also wondering if advance multiplier the only parameter to look at for knock retard? Are the other knock correction values loggable like flkc and fbkc? |
I'm with @Tromatic on this one. I just ordered the OFT but don't know a whole lot about data logging, definitely will read up on it though

Thanks for posting my log since I had no idea :)on how to do it myself. Thanks for the help Shiv hopefully with time I will under stand the whole picture on what these numbers meen :) Hopefully as more people post there logs we can all learn from what others have to say .
And I second the last quote a manual would be great . Thanks again |
I recently asked the guys at Vishnu the same since my OFT is waiting at home - below was their response
-------- We don't have an exact document on what parameters we are looking for. The common things that we look at on this car are: rpm throttle ign adv afr stft ltrt adv multiplier of course there are more channels but depending on what you are looking at. The easiest thing for you is probably looking at the afr when going under wide open throttle. And also ign adv when going under WOT/Full load. On pump gas you will see around mid 20's ign advance. On e85 you can 33~34 degrees of advance peak. afr pump gas will be in the mid 12's range and w/ e85 you can see low to mid 12's. I can give you a text book number because the parameters always changes and you have to understand what you are looking for. We can teach a week long class on this subject so I won't be able to explain everything to you. From the testings we have done and the users from all over the world, [our] current OTS map have seen great results with virtually no dirveability issues. Once you are running the OFT if you have any issues feel free to let us know. Or you can post us or send us your logs for review to see if there are anything odd or out of place. Robert@Vishnu |
+1 with the class or youtube video, like the way you use technical analysis for stocks... I'll be receiving my OFT today!! and I don't know wth I am i doing
|
Video tutorial sounds mine a good idea. We will just add it to the library :)
|
Will post another log later tonight with more throttle action and tune 1.34 last log was 1.33 stage 2
