I have filed a case with the PD of Independence, MO. They now have a link to this thread and the eBay post.

If you'd like to do the same, please contact me for the case number and you can get added to the current case.

The police officer also recommended that we file a case in our own jurisdiction.

If you're going to the police you may also want to include greater Kansas City and Blue Springs.

WTF? Are people this shady? I realize that people get into trouble from time to time, and may not make the best decisions in life. But I really dont think this guy has thought everything through. And if he has, and this is calculated. Well karma is a bi+€h. Now he is posting these on ebay? I suggest you get your act together Dooley. Sorry for all the guys that got involved with this one. :popcorn: at this point. This should just get better from here for him....and by better i mean he is screwed...guess this works out for me because i ended up going with a CFW Carbon fiber spoiler instead and dropped almost 400 on it lol.

All of this wouldn't have gone this far if he would've just stayed in communication with everyone.

This wouldn't have gone as far as it has if the moderators were doing a better job monitoring what and how people are selling on this forum. I remember posting near the middle of this thread page 4 #80 that this entire thread should be in the vendor section.:thumbdown:

That's fine and all, but I picked up the 2014 head unit with navigation from a sketchy guy here on the forums who doesn't have a vendor account, as have about a dozen others. He only had like 14 posts but he shipped. No one was ripped off.

The massive complaints about FA20Club screwing members and guess what, they are still a vendor because this forum is just here to make money.

Vendor status just means a blue username, and income for this forum.

As I've already said, you can report threads like this just as easily as anyone else. It's a lot easier for the several thousand users here to find threads like this than the few moderators can. You know why people don't? Because they think they are getting a deal from someone who is selling parts cheap. If you see a post/thread that you feel shouldn't be allowed, report it. Every report today that I've checked was handled. They aren't being ignored so use the functionality provided to you.

It's hard to take sides in a dispute. The vendor feedback forum exists for that reason. If a vendor has enough negative ratings and can't sell enough then they will leave by themselves. It's impossible for a non-customer to have ANY impact on how an outside business operates. For every vendor I've seen complaints about I've seen raving reviews for also.

As for the money, the mods don't see a penny of whatever this site earns, if anything. I've had disagreements with some vendors on here before and they cried to Hachi. Hachi backed me up at the risk of losing that vendor (and I think one did leave) so I don't completely agree with that assessment either. If I see a vendor doing something unethical I will publically call it out just as I've done before. If this user was a vendor I'd still tell people to go to the police because of information from HotLava.

People think mods read EVERY thread in every sub forum to police everything and everyone...

I don't think the mods should be blamed at all. I've purchased and sold many things on other forums, eBay, etc. In fact, I think the mods here aren't a bunch of power trips like the ones on other forums I've been a part of.

I believe that most people are good people and things do happen. Unfortunately, we're dealing with a seller who is dishonest and irresponsible.

I don't blame the mods at all. I took the risk (as did everyone else) rather than reporting the thread. Hopefully I'll get my money back, if not it's not the end of the world. Live and learn.

I just feel bad that he's bringing a kid into the world and hope that he doesn't raise her to be as shady as he has been. Teach your kids to own up to their mistakes, please!
