Scion Warranty +1yr vs Subaru..

Just noticed Scion is 6yr/60k Powertrain and Subaru is 5yr/60k mi , interesting 1yr diff, just thought I would share if it hasn't been posted. For those who don't drive much, the extra year will be nice!!!

I wonder how much an extended warranty is...

gwascopter 04-23-2012 10:32 PM

even a 12years old kid knows better than that.....

Plus worse insurance rates and derision from people that don't know anything about cars other than "Volvo = reliable, Honda = fuel efficient, Scion = crap"

Saibot 04-24-2012 04:05 AM

WHAT? HOW IS VOLVO RELIABLE?

their body is really rigid and wont fall apart but their electronics are CRAP.

AND HOW IS HONDA FUEL EFFICIENT? THATS TOYOTA >:0

They're common perceptions held by laymen. I'm telling you which way the wind is blowing, not my opinion.

norm24 04-24-2012 09:52 AM

I believe Volvo is known for safety, honda for reliability, no?

chulooz 04-24-2012 10:50 AM

I think the masses would agree that Volvo's are sturdy and Honda's are good on gas.

Beware of the subaru trolls, but dont forget to watch out for the scion posters trying to turn a 60 month warrantee into 6 years. If cost is a huge choosing factor, insurance could be a big issue.

Can we just close this pointless thread?
