Progressive Full Coverage $500 deductible and paying about $570 for 6 months..27 years old. My bill a month is $94 and some change. $20 cheaper than what I paid for my V6 Challenger.

so far with a lowish excess I've been getting quotes around the 3k/yr mark, being young and leaving getting a licence so late is a bitch all my fault though now I have to pay up $$.

My rate was $1962/year, which is a little higher than I wanted to see. BUT, come September, when I will have been driving for 6 years, that is dropping $860. Much better ;)

Mine is $369 for 6 months from allstate for full coverage. I am currently inquiring my agent about adding the new car replacement feature. They said they have to check with corporate but gave me an estimated of about another $100 every 6 month. It is suppose to be for 3 model years.so I hope this means if the car is totaled on december 31st of 2016,I can still get brand new fr-s. Is the extra cost worth it? Anybody have any thoughts?

For only 200$ a year, if you can swing it, i think its worth it.

Quoted $600.20/6 months for 20k/40k/50k $500ded with GEICO. I'm 33, 10+ years no accidents/tickets, homeowner, married... so I'm thinking the rate is a bit high. Might start shopping around.

I should add there's 2 other vehicles on that same policy, so some discounts will apply, still too high for my tastes.

Anyone know if Haggerty or any of the other collector car companies include the FR-S? My Ford Lightning is only about $275-$300/year for much better coverage and no mileage restrictions.

State Farm quoted me $822 for 6 mo for 100k/300k/100k and 10k personal injury with equivalent under-insured in Washington state. Deductibles are $500 on collision and comprehensive. I'm a single 21 year old male and I have been with State Farm as long as I have been driving (no tickets or accidents in last 3 years). I think that's a very good premium considering my age and none of the other guys (Allstate, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, Amica Mutual) have been able to get close. Bundling with renters should bring it down a bit further, as well.

I'm quoted at $1170 for 12 months (includes dual car discount) from Wawanesa (they only cover California and Oregon though).

Geico gave me $460 for 6 months. 100k/300k/100k with $500 deductibles. I'm only 23 and no accidents or tickets in the last 5years. I was pretty amazed because that's almost half what everyone else was offering me.

phm14 06-24-2012 10:21 PM

$80 a month for me.

I gotta call them back, I just got a quote from them, and they quadrupled my rate from my old Veloster. LOL Also got a quote from Wawanesa it was only a little more than my old car, so I think Geico screwed something up. Geico has just the collision coverage at $1,014.92 for the FRS alone, no tickets, 47 years old, multi car discount. hahaha. I'll call them and say WTF!

Well I don't know if they have updated their system, but when I registered online at the dealership, they did not have the FR-S in their system, so I registered as an "unspecified" Scion. I would not be surprised if at some point they raise my rates on me, but I'm honestly planning on switching soon anyways to get a multi- car discount, my 12 year old celica with liability only is going to cost almost as much as the FR-S with Geico, so I have to believe that my rates will increase at some point.

mickey177 06-26-2012 07:34 PM

So my insurance agent called me back and told me sorry the $100 extra every 6 months for the new car replacement feature was incorrect. If I want to add that feature it is $184 extra each 6 months. I am having a hard time deciding. If I just stick with the current full coverage it is $369 but adding that feature would move it up to $553. How much depreciation can we expect from the frs within 3 years
