New engine for FRS in the works?

^According to a few article I've found online, Toyota is testing out a new engine. Any thoughts/feelings?

Some sort of upgrade is pretty common in the life span of a car model. I new this when I bought my car and its not going to keep me from enough what I have. I think some people over concern them selves with whats coming and forget to enjoy what they have.

That being said I do usually look forward to the "Last Hurrah" model , the GT3 4.0 or M3 GTS.

2015... Have fun waiting. I'd bet a mild upgrade to 220whp and they dump the majority of their time into a new Supra, as the new head of Toyota suggested he'd LOVE to resurrect.

IL4 would mean dumping the ultra low engine config, which goes against their design mantra for this car.

I'd put my money on a high performance hybrid or Toyobaru releasing TRD/STI versions of the car at the same time.

I think you mean 220hp, not whp (wheel)... 220whp would be closer to 270hp.

230-250 at the crank would probably be possible with a 2.5L. You're right I meant 220 at the crank.

A 2.5L turbo'd hybrid would be amazing. Use the new carbon super capacitor tech for the batteries.
