I always thought that mazda just put this concept back into storage collecting dust till today. Toss to my favorite concept car of all times not to mention it was a purposed built racer.

The only car that even come close to wut my childhood favorite anime Cyper formula GPX had to offer. On the side note, anyone on here watched cyper formula when they were a kid?

Damn that's too bad.

It's surprising that they're just now putting this story out there, since I've been seeing it here and there for months now.

Sad though. Probably one of my favorite cars ever. As soon as I saw Hot Wheels made a die cast of it I hunted a couple of them down.

Beautiful lines! Sad to see it burnt up...

Wow what a loss. Forty years from now, people will wonder about the short-lived Furai.

Part of me hopes they have quietly built a second.

Mazda has done some great stuff over the years.

If they figure out how to make that rotary not explode every 60000 miles or whatever, I think I would have a hard time stopping myself from saving up for a fairy-triangle powered car.
