Seriously JPM CoachWork

So I was thinking of buying JPM Coachwork Dash Panel... but it cost an additional 65 dollars to remove the JPM Coachwork stitching

eddieEndo 11-30-2013 03:52 AM

Lol I hate that jpm logo and that is why I don't have anything by them... it's super tacky

Floggin Tires 11-30-2013 05:41 AM

This has been know for quite a while.
Now, I'm not on either side of this fence.

I think a better way to market this would be.

"Let us stick our add in your face, and we'll take off $65."
Not
"Our add is preset, We'll remove it, but it cost you $65."

Above is not their quote, or idea. Its my own opinion.

Granite if/when I purchase from them my total bill will be $65 higher than it could be.

That said...
...Everything I've seen them touch, or feed back from all of their customers
is pure Legit, Sexyness, and Quality

yeah, they were adamant about it. Even when in reality the cost structures mean that people who don't want logos ends up paying for other people's logos.

People who want the logos blew multiples veins and decided maths was too hard for them so yeah.

BlueDubbinTDI 11-30-2013 06:41 AM

Are these easy to takeout/put back in?

Yes, takes only a few seconds

UnOvertime 11-30-2013 09:50 AM

Their items are top notch in quality though.

A friend has the bonded dash panel with the Jet black logo and it looks good. It fits with the interior and is not highly noticeable like the red and white one.

Disco stu doesn't advertise

Super tacky! You know what's classy? Red lug nuts and snap in fake vents with LEDs.

Already been beaten to death. You get a discount if you allow their logo. Don't want the logo? Don't order it. It's also the only piece that has their logo.

as for JPMCoachworks: their products I've purchased recently and years ago has always been great. their customer service could possibly be better than the awesome product they provide. maybe you buy a knock-off body kit that fits like shit and doesn't last before the carbon looks cloudy or warped. and maybe that company won't help you or even openly discuss these faults in their product. JPM is always great with replying and helping anyone. don't want the logo? don't buy it. simple. but if you want to save $65 you've got the name of quality on a part that will hold as long as you car does.

@FRS_Jack I apologize for any confusion resulting from the product's configuration. It does not cost an additional $65.00. You save $65.00 with our logo embroidered. I have updated the product to be less confusing and more accurate.

@Floggin Tires Thank you for your sharing your opinion and the feedback of others. Thank you as well to you and everyone else above for reminding us to update the product description and configuration.

Both Dash Panels have been reconfigured to show a discount for embroidery as was initially intended. This was originally raised and resolved months ago, and we unfortunately did not have the time at that moment to change the product configuration. I hope this will prevent any future confusion.

Happy Holidays!

I agree that it's pretty ridiculous. I was going to buy it until I saw that, then I went with the black JDM pieces instead.

I really don't understand it. I paid $20 extra when I bought my Kindle to get the version that doesn't have ads. That I understand - Amazon charges publishers money to show the ads on my kindle, and are thus able to subsidize the cost. I can see how I'd need to pay more of the cost of the device since they're not making money from the ads.

But what is JPM getting out of sticking you with a logo? Do they think that I'm going to buy it, and the next time I drive my car I'm going to see a big obnoxious JPM logo and think "Hey, I should go buy some more products from JPM!"? Do they think that a few years down the road, I'm going to think "Hey, I really like that alcantara dash piece, and I'd like to get more pieces that match, but I can't remember where I got it. Oh, I know, it must be from JPM?". Is there a microchip inside it that every time you look at it, I get paid the three cents or whatever the going rate is now for an ad view, and every time I press my finger on it, I get paid ten cents for an ad click?

It's just ridiculous. It clearly costs JPM money to perform the embroidery, so somehow they're getting $65 + whatever the embroidery costs in expected profit just by having me see their logo every time I get in my car? In that case, I bet Subaru is making loads of money from putting their logo on my steering wheel!

Sorry, I don't play that game. I'm happy with my black JDM interior and JDM kneepads from Amayama. I like the JPM coachworks gauge cluster hood but I'm not supporting a company that pulls crap like that. Unless you want to put two of your -$65 JPM coachworks logos on it, and give it to me for free. Then I'll take it.

So people run out of stuff to complain about on the forum. Interesting. Lets start targeting little stuff like serial numbers stamped on my lug nuts, I hate those because it destroys the cleanliness of the lug design.

protpibe 12-02-2013 01:51 PM

I think the original post had a point about the cost being misleading, however, JPM responded and I think the issue is put to bed now. Kudos for listening to the community

FRS_Jack 12-02-2013 01:59 PM

Thats a pretty dumb cost model... we save 65 dollars for you to add more labor to your product kinda backwards.... but ne ways totally cool.
