Anybody who knows me or who has seen my build, knows I stick to pretty clean, flowing parts on my car. TRD, Nur spec (Toyota) etc. Parts are pretty much all I use. Don't go the whole slammed look, just want a clean look. But this past week I installed probably the first ricey thing I've done to my car. And I love it. Haha. I'll admit it's over the top, but at some point you just gotta have fun and like what you like and not care if others hate it. It actually doesn't look half bad. So without further ado, the latest addition to my FR-S:

Merry Christmas! I like the tree lights you put up! Oh wait... It's your car!
To each their own!

Haha I wouldn't do it but my inner ricer loves this too, reminds me of tron :D

Haha I find it pretty sweet. Is that the gloryder thing they keep advertising on YouTube?

Kinda curious how it would look on a rolling shot.

That's neat - I've secretly always wanted to try lights in my wheels exactly like you have, but I've always felt guilty about it, and had some practical concerns which brings me to asking you...

I assume you have no way of controlling whether they're on or not from inside your vehicle? Is this something that you rigged up yourself, or are these available for purchase somewhere?

I'm not sure about other colors, but it looks pretty sweet on a white car. Thanks for sharing! :w00t:

Oh I have complete control lol it's all wired into a switch. I wouldn't have done it if they had to be on all the time. This way I can just light them up going down a crowded street, then turn them off. And they do make the kits in pretty much any color.

The brand is actually called Lightning Wheel. The guy is based out of Myrtle Beach, SC. I happened to be on vacation a couple months ago and saw an Infiniti G35 with the lights, rolling down the highway. Did some research, found him online, and finally just took the plunge and did it.

Kudos for the courage to put it out there upfront ! I think a little piece of me does actually find it kinda cool sometimes ... but it's a bit too "in your face" and blunt for me haha

Cars clean though ! :party0030:

I'm going to dip my wheels white and put Christmas lights on my car for Christmas, just for hits and shiggles. We gotta have fun right?
