Vacation to Cambodia

My family and I are planning to take a trip to Cambodia for a little over a month. It will be the first time I will be out of CA (not counting Vegas) and first time on an airplane. I'm pretty excited to go see my country for the first time and prepared to see many new and different things.

Do you guys have any advice for a first time traveler?

DON'T DRINK THE WATER.

YOU WILL BE ON THE SHITTER FOR WEEKS.

This rule applies to every foreign country.

When are you going? I'm going this Summer. :D
@Guff: LOL not that bad. But what kind of water are you implying to? sink water? Water in Cambodia are sold, not free like here man (unless you go to a restaurant) .

Yeah, I meant tap water. If it's bottled or boiled, you should be good to go!

Translation is right, but I never heard those kind of words in Cambodia. Cambodian parents in the US may say it though.

Probably end of June or early July. I haven't bought ticket yet, but I will next month. We can meet up and have some drinks. :D I will leave you my information when I get there. Make use you can use internet when you get there.

Tips:
-Get a number, it's pretty cheap there. You only have to pay for prepaid card. ( and maybe 15 bucks for a junk phone if you use locked phone).
-You should get a taxi phone number when you got there. Taxi service is pretty cheap over there. Well, you don't have to if you have relatives over there drive you around.
-Night life is great over there, but you better not "walk" around late night. It starts to get quiet after 1am and it's DANGEROUS. It's always safer to drive.
