2014 Canadian AutoSlalom Nationals - Prince Edward Island

posting this early on so that anyone who might be interested can make the necessary arrangements.

a number of our folk made it out to Lincoln for the 2013 championship, so i figure i'll post in here for anyone interested in a weekend visit north of the border.

this event will be held at an ex-airfield strip on August 1-3 at Summerside, PEI (Prince Edward Island)

i imagine only the people of upstate New York/Maine would realistically be able to come up, but who knows.

classing and rules follow SCCA, so no surprises

the last time the canadian nationals were hosted at PEI, 97 people showed up... which all things considered, is pretty fucking amazing.

I ran there this past season, in my opinion it is a fantastic venue. There were a few people from south of the border who attended and one had a twin of my car whom I enjoyed chatting with. This year was my rookie year and ended up being first in STX and Atlantic Region Motor Sports overall autocross points champion. I have brought a few FR-S/BRZ owners out, and likely there will be 4-5 from the area attending.

I will be running STX, and hope to see lots of you come out. The organizing group (MMSC) and all locals who run in the ARMS series are a very friendly group of people. It is guaranteed to be a fun weekend.

we're hoping to get a large contingent of participants coming from Ontario. Maybe 3 FRS's in C-Stock

I might get over there and do it!! will have to see my agenda!!

Running in STX!

Wow, August 2014 - these guys don't screw around when planning ahead eh?

I may or may not be able to go depending on what I may or may not buy next year.

How's that for a commitment lol?

Will keep it in mind.

Well I`m from Bathurst and should also post this in the Canada section I guess hehehe. Anyways, I`ve never been to an AutoX and I`ve had it in my mind to head out to Moncton one day to enter one. I think they are on Wed or Thursday nights am I right? How many guys are there usually there? What time does it start and end? Do I need anything else in particular in terms of joining a club or having a course before I can join an autox race in moncton?

I'd like to enter the Slalom at Slemon one day too, but it clashes with my favorite week-end of the year and the CMRC race at Riverglade :(.

i don't know much about Moncton,

here is an autocross schedule from one of the clubs that organize events at "magic mountain" (where ever that is :)... sounds like a neat place.

it would be best to contact them directly for registraiton info

The schedule is posted for all the regional dates in Atlantic Canada in the ARMS forum (will link layer, I'm on my phone) I ran there last season several times and they do a good job. There are weekday and weekend events ranging from morning to evening. Additionally there are TONS of friendly people willing to help anyone out (myself included).

Unfortunately I had already scheduled my vacation before the announcement so I wont be attending this year. Would have been nice to attend.
