Toyota OEM 4.5 FD Part number

Not sure if this has been posted before or not, but in case it hasn't, or been missed, here is the Toyota partnumber for a 4.556 Final Drive to fit our cars.

FWIW, Cusco (and others) buy these from Toyota, repackage, and double the price. Typical price I've seen for the Cusco is $1200USD. I got this baby for around $650 NZD. (~$500 USD) :D

Nick at North Shore Toyota. They do all the trd parts as well. Sell a fair bit into Aus as well I believe.

Thanks. I wonder what top speed this FD ends up limiting us to.

I know RCE posted a review on their Cusco FD and said it really made a difference.

I am still debating on a 4.5 or a 4.7.

I think with the 4.1 we are limited to 168ish, which is fine if you have a turbo or something that will give the power to reach that speed but with only 200hp we will never reach it.

With the 4.5 we should be looking at 143ish I think was the number. Unless you are going FI, then this is a great idea to make the car faster and allow for greater access to the performance while driving!

Even with FI, I think this would still be a very worthwhile mod.

Realistically, even with FI, how many people are getting up to top speed in these cars? And if you're doing that on public roads, :slap:.

My wonder is with the added performance in lower gears with the FD with FI, would other parts of the car become a weak link i.e. axles? I suppose MPG's would take a hit as well but I don't think anyone changing out their FD is worried about gas mileage.

I'd really like to see a forced induction setup running this final drive kit. Acceleration must be :eyebulge:

The fact that it's an OEM part makes it all the sweeter in my opinion.
