Update: So the car will not be finished today as planned, pretty standard for modding not completing on time. I added a few more extra parts in, which may have costed more time. Dyno tuning will not start until Monday. If not finished Monday, it will be after Christmas/New years time which realistically I'm thinking 12/30 ish now.

Pretty bummed out since I wanted to take to the 86 Christmas party :(

Boost gauge and tranny cooler was the additional parts to the kit.

That sucks man. Any estimatrs on howmuch power she will have?

Stage 1, probably around 250 ~ 260whp 200 ~ 210tq is my guess. Its only 5 psi for now. 7 psi full 3in exhaust shop car made about 285whp.

Stage 2 will be water/air IC and push the boost up to 9 psi hopefully, which will hit the 300whp mark I'm assuming. Beyond that, the rear axle will start to take a beating as well as the AT tranny. Clutch packs and maybe a 400rpm ish increase in the stall TQ converter, and BBK will be recommended.

Stage 3 will be Meth injector kit to push it to 350whp to 400, at this point, the motor should be rebuilt or lower the compression rate slightly. Carbon fiber drive shaft, and heavy suspension work, bigger radiator and fan, cold temp spark plugs and at this point I will probably need a BOV.

Well bummer on the extra time but we know PRE will get it right when finished

Pushed out another few days due to the MAF sensor maxing out at max rpm. It will throw a code with a 2.75" intake. We are going to fabricate a custom 3" intake to see if this will resolve the issue. Also even with the upgraded wastegate spring, its still creeping up boost, but should be able to control it to around 5 ~ 6psi max. Thank god for the boost gauge I had them installed lol. They have not released how much power I'm pushing until the tune is finalized.

I'm still debating if I should get a scangauge or get a cheap android tablet to run the Torque app (got the magnetic phone/table holder for Christmas) to keep an eye on oil temp/IAT. You think reading the AFR would be pretty important too? In which order do you think the importance will be? Oil temp, pressure, boost, IAT, AFR, EGT?

Get the android tablet or the p3cars gauge

p3cars gauge looks sick! Too bad I have my boost gauge in there already.. Wish I knew this option! I'm starting to lean towards android tablet. I wonder which is best suited for car use?

I've been using a Nexus 7 (first gen) to run torque it does pretty well, but I think you could pick up just about any cheap tablet with Bluetooth and it would run fine.

You can find a sub-$100 android tablet at many different online retailers. Any cheap one with Bluetooth will do.

awesome, yea I see a bunch of $69.99 ~ $99 tablets with BT and Android OS. I guess the lightest/skinniest one will do. Ipad mini will be pretty baller though.. I wonder if DashCommand is as good as Torque.

I would advise staying away from the cheap Android tablets.
My suggestion is to pick up a 1st or 2nd gen nexus 7 either new or used depending on how much you want to spend.
Swappa.com is a good place to pick one up used.

Maybe you can advise us a bit further on why a Google Nexus 7 tablet is better at the intended use than a cheaper Android 4.1+ tablet..?

To sum it up, better hardware, performance and support with the nexus than the cheap no name tablets for slightly more money.
The cheap tablets are more of a headache and not worth the few bucks you save.

If you had a specific one in mind that isn't one of the no name Chinese tablets on eBay, then it might be a different story.
I'm specifically talking about the sub $100 Chinese tablets you see on eBay.

So looks like my car will be ready today. initial final tune dyno is said to push 280whp at 3 ~ 5.5 psi. They have played around with the piping a bit more, and was able to push more power with lower boost. With an MT car, it may be close to 290whp.

I have not seen the dyno sheet yet, so I will find out more once I get to PRE.

Thermostat regulated tranny cooler for my AT, and a analog boost gauge in my heater/ac vent was the extra parts I installed on top of the base turbo kit.

I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED TO GO GET MY CAR. Took about 18 days to complete this process, holiday season is not the best time for big projects..
