Is Automatic compatible with the BRZ?

I was wondering if this is compatible with the twins?
Kind of a cool gadget to have if you are mpg conscious

It says its compatible with the FR-S but not "tested" with the BRZ lol.

I'm not sure if this is the objective for the '86. The really fuel-conscious folks shouldn't be looking at the twins as it will be a conflict of goals. Driving normally is fine but driving the FRS/BRZ sedately long-term will be a waste of resources.

That's crazy talk

The only thing I'd be interested in would be the crash alert feature and that's it.

I entered BRZ on this page and got this.

"Your car is supported!
Fill-Up Detection

This car is equipped with a sensor that reports fuel-level. Automatic uses this to show you trip costs based on where you filled-up.
Accurate MPGs

This car is equipped with a sensor that tracks fuel consumption. MPGs displayed in the app will be accurate within 10%."

The crash report, CEL detection, and 'where the hell did I park' features seem like they'd be worth the $100.

I am not convinced about the comment. One can have a fuel efficient car and have fun as well. The gadget can assist the driver to be more fuel-efficient on those drives when he/she wants to be.

It's good to track your fuel usage even if your objective isn't to save money. I track the consumption on all my cars religiously and the only fuel efficient car I have is the BRZ. Changes in fuel consumption can tip you off to problems with the car before they become bigger problems.

I don't believe I've ever owned a car as fuel efficient as the BRZ, and I've owned my fair share of college-kid-grade econoboxes. It's not what I bought it for, but it helps me justify driving it every day!

You don't need to drive this car like a grandma to get good fuel economy either. I get consistently ~31mpg and partake in a moderate amount of hooliganism.

I drive about 23k miles a year, about 50/40/10 sedately/briskly/WOT and get about 31 mpg on average. Once in a while, I'll get freaked out by news of accidents e.g. and my proportion of sedate driving goes up. Other than that, I don't think I will be changing my driving style just to get 2-3 mpg more even with the miles I put in. The annual fuel cost of the BRZ went up about $65 a month over my Civic Hybrid but the fun factor was up by at least $100 a month :).

I definitely start to get low on the fuel economy after an evening of Canyon carving at high rpms. Goes from mid 20s to low 20s. I'm sure if I commuted at cruise rpms and no faster than 65 mph, I'd get into the 30s & wouldn't take as large of an mpg hit on Canyon run evenings... But that isn't as fun ;)
