Hi William! Quick question, I just got my car back from the dealer (recall). I noticed that the rev match wasn't working, but launch control does. Should I just reflash the ECU with the last tune I received, or should I wait for an updated one from you guys.

Yes, try reflashing it and see if that resolves it. Sorry about the delay, been quite busy as of late.

For forced induction applications we are on 25 and will be moving to 26 within the next month or so. More to come on that.

As for the NA tunes.
Stage 1 we are currently on version 9.
Stage 2 we are on version 10.
Stage 2 + ACE header we are on 11.

As for the reason for the updates. EcuTeK release more tables for us to refine the tune, which we then take advantage of. We also do refine the tune further as time progresses, including low end response, throttle mapping, cam angles, di angles, etc....

Regards,
William

My NA ACE with flex fuel tune was done with Zach back on last September, am I due for an update?

Thanks for getting back to me! I ended up reflashing and it finally came back. It took a few 100 miles for it to return believe it or not.

I am also looking forward to getting the update to the ACE tune, I am still on v8. Thanks for working on this!

I have an AT with the Edelbrock kit and v25 tune for flex fuel and am having a rough idle. Sometimes sitting at a light, ignition advance timing is -2.5 deg. STFT is high, like +25%. Load is a little higher than normal. Vacuum sometimes is only -7psi vs the normal -10psi, so I imagine the bypass valve actuator is partially open, flooding the cylinders with compressed air and the ECU is pulling timing. If that sounds plausible, where could I be having vacuum issues?

Yes, this sound like you have a vacuum leak and probably at the bypass valve.

Hi everyone. I have two questions I'm hoping someone can help me with.

1. Where can I find an OEM ECUTek ROM so that I can put my 2013 FRS back to the stock ?

I currently have the Innovate 8.65 tune on my car, but I put the car back to stock so that I can take it in for the valve spring recall.
I searched the forum and was able to find what I believe is the stock tune, ZA1JB01C.hex, but people say it is not compatible with ECUTek. Apparently I need an ECUTek rom file and not a hex file? Please forgive my ignorance. The car is current;y at the mechanic shop waiting to be picked up and not having the stock tune is the only thing holding it back.

2. Will changing the exhaust headers require another tune?

I eventually plan to put the SC kit back on the car, but I'm thinking of changing exhaust headers when I do. The car was custom dyno-tuned by Bill with after market EL 4-1 headers on. Will changing the headers require another custom dyno tune or can the current tune be updated?

Thanks in advance to the forum community for always helping out. You guys are great!

you have them all on ecutek proecu software in your pc
Help - Ecutek update - Update rom list
then you will find them on c:/ecutek/proecuromfiles

1. If you can not find them, just email us and we can send the file over to you.

2. It depends on what your changing from the headers from and to. If they are going to be similar probably not, but if you are going to say a 4-2-1 unequal, etc... then we should adjust the tune a bit.

My laptop died that had my ecutek program on it. Can I simply download it again on a new laptop and it’ll work just fine with my car as long as I have the USB that delicious gave me? The install and program I had wasn’t paired or anything with my car was it?

tomm.brz 04-13-2019 05:34 AM

don't worry you can install it on every laptop/PC you want
