Better control over fueling

If you have very well scaled maf likely not a huge advantage

But using constant closed loop will get better more consistent result even if maf off a little

Also in open loop you only applying a single ltft correction for whole band from 3.2 v to 5v with full time closed loop will be finer adjustment

Sounds good, actually in my current tune i have ltft disabled in open loop but maf scaled very well so that afr is always following command afr, but i guess the closed loop would be even more precise
I got to see the new CL tables in racerom v10 but i dont understand if they are ready to use as they are set by ecutek. Or. They need adjustment per car

They are ready to use as it, at least for NA with stock intake. Except You might want to raise the min load, so it's not active together with regular closed loop. That produced some interesting results to say at least. Change it to 0.70/0.10 instead of 0.40/0.10.

And, yes, with a properly scaled MAF, the is the correction you will see: ;)

Nice thing anyway...

Is it independent from ltft right?

Yes, complete. I suppose the "final correction", as you see in the screen above, multiplies injector pulse width. Hence, "1" = no correction. 1.01 = 1 % correction.

But imagine it's running in OEM closed loop and STFT tries to add fuel and Ecutek keeps taking it back out. If you are cruising at constant speed where it set LTFT and STFT keeps growing, all of a sudden you have LTFT of +25. So best not to have Ecutek's CL active at loads less than 0.7.

Have a fun log where I drove on the autobahn, constant 3500ish rpm. LTFT grew to 25. Then I did some WOT driving (6th gear pull to test my per gear timing) with 25 without being aware (I did live log, but didn't look!). Ecutek corrected it nicely back on target AFR even with +15 (it had dropped back slightly). So the Ecutek stuff definitely works. Just no point having it work against OEM CL.

I didn't log Ecutek CL parameter, because this was the first time I encountered the problem. I actually wonder why Ecutek didn't change the 0.4 to 0.7 as I was in contact with their support about the issue.

Anyway, this thread is about Delicious tunes, and not Ecutek CL.

Tune updates and tunes are all going out tonight and tomorrow. Working on them right now. Thank you for your patience.

Hi William! Quick question, I just got my car back from the dealer (recall). I noticed that the rev match wasn't working, but launch control does. Should I just reflash the ECU with the last tune I received, or should I wait for an updated one from you guys.

Are you on the right MAP? I beleive by default they only activated DSB on map 3.
Default settings unless you specified different
1, LC
2, LC, FFS
3, LC, FFS, DSB
4, Valet

I'm not a fan of the FFS or the DSB.

The FFS doesn't seem to be smooth enough for me like there is too much time with the cutout.

I tend to be very aggressive with downshifting at times. Maybe it is from years of being on a sport bike. I find the rev matching to be rather terrible most of the time. It over-revs based on my needs, and it also seems to feel as if the car is getting power to the wheels during the beginning of the rev match. Maybe I am not fast enough with the clutch or so aggressive it is launching the revs too high. I dunno, but it isn't great. When it works under less aggressive situations, it is nice.

both are very customizable, ask them a different setting based on your liking

Ok just a thought. Not sure what the dealer could do to just take out DSB. You would think if they reflashed you would lose everything.

Shneegle 02-28-2019 06:02 PM

I had to reflash my ECU after the dealer did the recall, but that was because they didn't secure the main engine connector. Once I connected it properly and reflashed the vehicle felt much better.

Holy smokes...the last version I received was 8.0
