To everyone concerned about running an IAT sensor post blower on the Innovate/Sprintex supercharger, let me share my experience. I had the same inquiries as you when I purchased by setup. I researched what I could and found the errors others were doing when trying to install one post blower. The issue was even when having a new MAP sensor plate made to accommodate an IAT sensor, unless you drill out material in the intake manifold itself, you will not get a useable reading because the IAT sensor will not be in direct air flow. I took the steps needed to make this work. I had the intake manifold machined, I had a new plate made, I purchased a GM open element IAT sensor, and I found the correct wires to use to have everything working like it is supposed to. To rule out all failure points, I proceeded in steps. When installing the supercharger, I used the MAP sensor plate provided with the kit to make sure there were no issues with drilling out the material in the intake manifold. I drove on that for weeks with no issues. After that, I installed the plate I had made with a plug in the port for the IAT sensor to make sure the plate worked with no issues. After driving on that for weeks with no issues, I installed the IAT sensor. I drove on that for a few weeks while still getting readings from the MAF sensor for intake temps to make sure the IAT sensor did not cause any issues being in the plate such as no leaks, stuff like that. All that being said, after driving on it for a little over 2 months to verify everything ran as it should before changing the wiring over and having the new IAT sensor hooked up, I realized how smooth everything ran with getting the temps from the MAF sensor location. Remember, Bill has this kit on his personal car and drives it almost every day I'm sure. He's been here from the beginning, fine tuning this to make it perform the best that it can and that is what he has done. He has done it so well that I have not even attempted to go further with actually hooking up the IAT sensor post blower. Why mess up a good thing? I probably will do it one day, just for the sake of doing it. But it's not an issue, so I'm not making it an issue.

New Record - Highest Horsepower NA
New record for highest horsepower BRZ/FRS/86 in South Africa. Our Stage 2 surpassed the old record by 6 wkw and 4 wtq. That is 23 wkw (or 30whp for the US folk) over a stock BRZ/FRS/86. Congratulations to our customers in South Africa.

You did not mention this was on 95Ron(91Oct). Delicious Tuning is the buzz word on our local forums  This increase in power has put the NA 86 in the same kW bracket as the stock turbo G7 and Focus ST. We testing Stage 1 this weekend. |

Subaru BRZ - All years Subaru STI - 2004 - 2015 Subaru WRX - 2006 - 2015 Scion FRS - All years Toyota 86 - All years Our kits are designed to directly plug in within minutes. No need to unbolt, screw, run wires, etc... It will literally be as simple as plug in, flash your ECU and enjoy. For the Flash and Go customers we have now setup the FlexFuel to be even easier. We now use the MAF voltage input wire to the ECU as our ethanol content value since we run pure speed density. So the benefit of this is, incredibly easy installation and all your readiness checks will pass, unlike use the evap or rear O2 sensor input, where they will never complete the readiness monitors. Top Gear, The Stig, RMS Innovations and Delicious Tuning
And some more good news.
Top Gear, The Stig, RMS Innovations and Delicious Tuning You might wonder what in the world do all these have in common? Well they all came together for the South Africa Top Gear Festival in Durban. Top Gear and “The Stig” flew down to South Africa to take a spin in the RMS Innovations Supercharged Toyota 86 (Scion FRS / Subaru BRZ in other parts of the world) with Delicious Tuning controlling the engine management at the Top Gear Festival, Durban, held June 21-22, 2014. This is the second time the Top Gear crew had a chance to try out the tuning from William T. Knose Jr., the first time was when he worked for Crawford Performance tuning the Gymkhana 1 and 2 Subaru’s. During the event “The Stig” had the opportunity to drive multiple cars during the entire venue held over a two day period. While doing so “The Stig” spoke with the producers of Top Gear to change the lineup of the vehicles and cancel driving the Caterham. This was in acknowledgment of how fun the RMS Innovations Toyota 86 vehicle was to drive and he did this with no other vehicle during the two day show. To say the least it was well received by the Top gear crew and Delicious Tuning is proud to be a part of the RMS Innovations Team on their build of this vehicle. This vehicle currently houses the Sprintex 210+ supercharger, offering a little more grunt and overall power with a more efficient blower then the standard 210 system. The system is controlled with the EcuTeK ProECU Software with RaceROM version 7 tuned by Delicious Tuning. http://www.delicioustuning.com/sites...s/_DSC0032.jpg For more images check out: Website: www.delicioustuning.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/DeliciousTuning Cheers, William Knose Delicious Tuning |
