Powder coating?

Looking for somewhere between Mississauga and Ottawa even Quebec to powder coat my wheels.

Anyone have any recommendations? Pictures of previous work done, were you happy with it? Depending on the parts how did it hold up to heat?

There's a group buy happening for another forum I sponsor, if you want me to tell them to hold a spot for you then let me know or sign up yourself. http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...g-Technologies

Sounds ok, but without registering it won't let me view the details.

"Hey guys,

There is interest amongst at least three TM3 members (including me) to get their wheels powder coated. I've asked several (reputable) companies, and Stripping Technologies in Cambridge, ON is the cheapest of them all.

A member got in contact with Stripping Technologies, and they said that the regular price is $340 for a set of wheels, but that if we got 3 or more members involved, that price would drop down to $280. This price is only good for ONE set of wheels (4) and one single color (no dual colored wheels at this price).

What I'm trying to achieve by starting this group buy thread is that if we got enough members involved, we might be able to bring the price down further.

The group buy will happen this winter, while everyone still has their winter tires on. There's no set date yet, as some members still have to purchase their wheels.

Sign up: your handle and specs of wheels to be coated:"

They did my wheels, no issues at all.

Ill have to get in contact with these guys next summer

wparsons 12-02-2013 03:38 PM

Get in touch with them as soon as you can, they get BUSY leading up to summer when everyone wants their stuff done.

wparsons 12-04-2013 08:34 AM

@Trac Toy, just realized you're in my area... if you want to see mine in person I could meet up and bring one of the wheels with me. Mine have been through multiple lapping and auto x days, and stood up to lots of scrubbing (my summer pads dust like crazy) and still look mint.
