English lesson for the day
A long time ago I devised a formula to help with the three different spellings of a word that sounds the same but has three different meanings. I thought I would pass it on.
ThERE = hERE, everywhERE thEIr = hErs, hIs They'RE= they aRE Trivial I know but I figure that's o.k. as I have my flame suit on. :D |
This is pet peeve has existed since the internet was birthed.
Good luck grammar nazi :) |
Their might some flaming but there just haters. There mean :bellyroll:
|
Some idiot is going to try and remember this and say "They'RE = heRE, everywheRE"
|
y u guys type so wird?
|
they're not three different spellings of a word. "there" is not a homonym...
they're three different words.. and in one case a contraction! derp.. |
I'll always fuck em up, at least i'll get they're right. Hey, better one than none.
Or is better one then none.... Hehe. |
Much words. Wow. So grammar.

I spend a lot of time on this board and the level of grammar and spelling errors is too damn high. Their, I've said my peace. That was just my too cents.

The way I came up with is to see the HEIR in tHEIR. An heir owns. "Their" owns.
