BRZ STi Style Side Skirts (ABS) Installed on FR-S

I ordered the BRZ STi style side skirt from BaysonR on Ebay on Monday, and receive the whole pacage on Wednesday. very fast shipping. But didn't have time until today (Sunday) to get it install.

The instruction is easy enough to read, the whole installation takes 2 hours, kinda long (because I am no pro). Anyway, the side skirt looks great on the FR-S, and installation is much easier than I thought. I only have 2 car jack stand at home, if you have 4 jack stand, you could save time to do all the once. I have to jack up the car do one side first then the other.

The side skirt quality is OK, but you pay what you get. I painted it gloss black to match my BRZ STi style rear apron. So far I like it.

Doesn't look great, too much contrast.

Any drilling into the sheet metal required?

JPxM0Dz 11-24-2013 10:13 PM

No drilling required as per installation instructions...

I asked because on his, it definitely looks like he drilled into the rear wheel well. Look at the silver bolt in the driver side rear...I'm curious to know why he had to do that. Did the bracket not fit?

I never noticed and just realized this was an FR-S ;)

Instructions for BRZ show no drilling required

The quarter panels and wheel wells are identical, so there's no reason he should have had to drill, being an FRS vs BRZ install (assuming BRZ really is no drill). I'm curious to know what the OP says.

OP, could you also please post some further away photos? I've only seen this on WRB BRZ's before, so I'm curious to know how it looks with an FRS. I'm planning on getting this for mine as well if I like like the look with the HT Auto front lip, since this one was suppose to be no drilling (unlike the other side skirts, which all require that sadly)

I posted this in another thread last week. There should be no confusion on whether or not drilling is required
