Car Shut Down

So last night I was making a k turn and when in reverse the steering wheel began shaking so I put the car in park shut the car off and attempted to turn it on again but it did not work. No lights on in the car but when I opened my door the car then turned on just the lights and all and gauges... Later in the night I went to turn on my auto start installed by the dealer and nothing happened I went to turn and unlock my door and it worked but again no lights on. Restarted the battery and the car worked again.
What the hell is going on lol second time this has happened. Is there a short on the auto start and should I just get the auto start disconnected and get a new one aftermarket ?

What exactly is "auto start installed by the dealer?"

Is "auto start" supposed to be remote start?

Yes auto start meaning remote start... I have a key from the dealer that has my alarm on it that they installed as well as the remote start

I'm guessing that's your problem. I've never seen one of these systems that is worth a shit.

Quit being a sissy and go out into the cold to warm your car up fool!

Those are the risks you take when you start messing with things, especially electrical. It wasn't installed by the dealer. It was installed by an employee of the dealership and the quality of his work apparently leaves a lot to be desired.

so by just disconnecting the remote start should fix the problem I'm hoping. just disconnecting the wires should remove all the relays to the engine… and The Hell you live in SoCal haha it doesn't get 20 degrees by you so you wouldn't know the struggles.

I live in NorCal where it does get "chilly" but no, not cold.

I grew up in Michigan though so I know... trust me I know. Sometimes I wonder how I used to do it!

lmao i hate the cold so much but as long as i can just go to an aftermarket shop and get it disconnected and see if it happens again ill be okay… if it stops ill be sure to keep everyone posted

went to the shop today ( not the dealer) he sells the piece they put in is actually good quality but they may have connected it incorrectly or just didn't care how they did it when they did it. he said that he will just take the whole thing out and install a VIPER for me , sounds good to me =)
