What did you get with ur FRS preorder?
 

Hey all,

Was just curious...when you went to put down your deposit for the FRS, did the dealer give you anything as a receipt, VON, or etc.? Cuz when we preordered our BRZ's, we all got either a sold order or a VON sheet along with receiptss.. Last week when I put down a deposit for the FRS, I got a copy of the dealer's preorder sheet and a copy of my check, but nothing official from toyota/scion/subaru like a VON or anything like that...

All I received was a simple receipt showing I placed a deposit on a mystery vehicle since I put a deposit on the car last November.

My dealer has had some communication with me, but I haven't received any formal order information.

A copy of my check. There were no orders to place in the system so they can't create a VON. Subaru had entries in the systems already. From what I understand in talking to my dealer, Scion is not allowing anything until actual cars are in.

Sounds like we're just on more of a "RESERVED/IGOTDIBZ" list for the specific DEALERSHIP's allocation, right? Dammit!

Cuz with Subaru, it sounded more like they were building a car specifically for our PREORDERS---hence a "VON" for us.

They did ask what color we wanted, but yeah. It sounds like an allotment will come in, and from that allotment you'll be able to get your choice. I'm betting Subaru is the same way though. I doubt they're doing custom builds unless you're paying for the car. It wouldn't make financial sense. It sounds more like they have an ordering system in place, where Scion did not.

Lol, glad you understood what i meant! So that's also what the dealer guy told me, that they (scion) doesn't have an order system in place. Imma call the dealer anyway though, to see what the progress is.

got a receipt for 500 buckaroos, then a typed and signed document i wont pay anything over msrp+destination+ttnl

I just have a receipt that says I placed a refundable deposit on Premium SSM manual. They are going to have a model there on Monday to look at in person, I'm hoping they will tell me then when they can place my order. When I put the money they said I was third or fourth in line.
