question: how to remove rear seatback?

I'm sure this is written up somewhere as part of a bigger write up, but I can't find it. Can someone please point me to it?

Fold down seat, pull bottom part of carpet covering the back of the seat up and discover a bracket with a bolt on it on each side. I belie it's a 10mm or 12mm. Unbolt them. Then pull the brackets off the metal tab you see next to the bolts and it'll come right off.

The bottom of the seats come off with the one bolt on each side and a metal clip to unhook which is super easy.

I just did this over the weekend and it took no more than 5 minutes from beginning to end.

Thanks. How do the snaps holding the carpet down work? They aren't popping free easily and I'm a little leery about breaking something.

Now how does the center portion of the seat come out?

Center portion of the seatback is integrated into the seatback. You can't remove it.

If you're talking about the divider between the seat bottoms, you can't remove it. It's the transmission tunnel.

How thick is the pad? It looks worth taking out if you want to do something in that area.

You will need to clarify your questions more if you want help. Pictures would also help.

The piece that sits on top of the transmission tunnel. I want to take it out. I knew how to get the buckets out, now I know how to get the seatback out. Last bit is the piece sitting on the transmission tunnel.

That is it exactly. It looks like it extends a little under the center console and might have an attachment point under there. I really don't want to remove the center console if I can avoid it, although I have plans that will require it eventually. If it has to come out, I'll do as much prep work as I can and do both projects at once while it is out.

You need to remove rear seat bottoms and center console, then pop out 2 tabs to pull that piece out.

15lbs for the seat back, and about 3lbs each for the bases.
