Stance Coil overs or BC coil overs ?
 

I'm in a Predicament here. I've been reading up on these 2 coil overs for the past 3 months now and i can't seem to make a decision. i would like to have a decent low height, pretty stiff ride for the tracks but comfortable for DDing. i can't seem to choose between the 2. Any advice would sure help and would be very appreciated. My budget is around $1800 with tax and shipping. =D thanks guys in advance

you arent going to get comfort and performance at that price point but i think if you really focus on your priorities you might be able to find something that gets the job done

Stiff isn't always better.

Your best bet in the budget for a system that does it all IMHO is the KW V1 or RCE Zeros with camber bolts up front and SPC rear control arms. Going to be solid, ride great, and perform on track for you. :)

What would you guys recommend for under $1500 that is moderately comfortable(more=better) and durable enough to track with maybe once or twice a year? I'm really eyeing the Buddy club racing specs, but i could only find a few reviews on them. I'd prefer something that comes camber adjustment, even though i heard this can be bad as far as noise and rattles go. I need it to adjust camber for the wheels i want to fit. Would you say the buddy club is worth the money over something like BC? is there something else that you guys recommend that falls in between these two? or would you highly recommend dishing out a few extra hundred to get something like the fortune auto 510, or the kw v1. Even though i'd rather stay below $1500 if the difference is gonna be night and day between these coilovers i'd rather dish out a few extra hundred, but it seems like i'd have to buy camber adjusters separately with some of those midrange coilovers like bilstein, kw, or RCE-0.

What wheels you fitting? A lot of misconception out there on what fits and what doesn't on stock body.

Difference is night and day between 1500 and 1800 IMHO. Shoot us an email we can talk more and work this out specifically for your needs. sales@ft86speedfactory.com and keep in mind, what rides rough for me may not for you, but I've been on alot of coils and if this is a daily driver where noise and ride matters, KW and RCE is where you wan to be. The car does not need camber plates for a daily / few times a year track car.

I also wanted to be lowered. Not slammed. Probably like a cm from fender to tire. I'm most definitely looking into the last suggestion you suggested :)

I cant believe noone recommends ST coils, assuming OP is located in orange country. One cm also depends on how poke your wheels are. Are they well tucked in?

Well i didn't want to bother you guys through email, because im actually not ready to buy for another 3 months or so :D Plus i figured asking on the forums will provide information for future buyers who are also searching. I'm looking to eventually run gram lights 57xtremes 18x9.5 with 04-07 sti brembos from what i have found on here, the 9.5 need -2 camber upfront to prevent rubbing. As far as ride roughness goes, I am in my mid 20s and am very physically active so it shouldn't cause any problems, but i figure the smoother the ride the better for DD. I have not had the opportunity to ride on aftermarket coilovers yet so i don't have anything to compare it to, besides stock which feels fine to me. Also $1800 is so mush moneyyyyyyyy :brokenheart: perhaps i can email ya'll when it comes close to buying time and i can determine what my budget is.

Driven on all these setups. Not sure what to say about them. Stock is still a really good setup. Stiff does not equate to track performance.

I can count on my hand what coilovers have proven to be consistently faster than stock on track: TEIN SRCs, JRZ RS-Pro, AST prototypes. They also all run "extremely high" spring rates but ride better than everything else out on the market. When it comes to "performance" and "comfort", none of the lower end market can beat those. Obviously, if that's not your aim, then anything else can work.

My advice in your price range is to do some research on the Fortune Auto 500's

Select the swift spring upgrade if you are worried about comfort. You can't beat the quality or the 5 year warranty. I think ft86 speed factory carries them. I have been inside Fortune Autos factory/ shop myself. They dynotest every individual coilover. Also everything is hand made in the US.

I have stance coil overs even of the softest setting they are stiff. Love them for track days. But as for dd. Speed bumps and pot holes suck.

Aren't the ST's pretty much the same as a KW V1, except for galvanized steel construction? This was recommended several times.
