Lets talk tickets :)

Hello all,

I am curious about the kind of tickets we have been getting. (I have seen a few of you posting about tickets)

I got tickets for:
backing out of my driveway too quickly (ticket said "unsafe backing")
pulling into a parking lot too quickly 20Mph (ticket said "unreasonable speed")
2x accelerating to a upcoming zone(mph/ticked zone/upcoming zone) (33/25/30,57/30/55)

Previous to this madness I have never gotten a ticket, no tickets in my 8 years of driving...owned my GBS BRZ for 3 months and I get 4 tickets. I want to make some personality modifications to my car but now I am afraid of the additional attention/attraction

All of these tickets are in the Hudson Valley NY

I used to get a lot of tickets, it's part of the reason I had to drive pickup trucks and econobox's. After they started to come off my insurance I was able to get a sportscar.
A lot of those ticket's sound petty. Maybe they are on some kind of ticket blitz or something.

Move to an area with more crime. The cops are too busy to give you bullshit tickets like that.

There isn't alot of crime here but they did just get a new fleet of vehicles. I guess they have to offset the cost.

Got a 75 in 40 on my way home from picking up the BRZ.

Struckbylitenin 11-17-2013 09:12 PM

funny, i always got tickets on my beaters...

Got many breaks on my sportbike and already one in the FR-S so I cant complain

pche 11-17-2013 09:15 PM

^^ you actually stop on a sports bike?? Cops don't even bother pulling out of their spots when I blow by on my Busa.

Struckbylitenin 11-17-2013 09:30 PM

Probably main reason why I've gotten breaks... they're surprised I stopped (wearing full gear and high viz yellow might have contributed as well.) I also didn't really ride it like an asshat on public roads. I spent some decent money going to NJMP to open her up.

One officer did once tell me I "sounded" like I was going fast and that's why he pulled me over. He didn't issue a ticket and simply said "slow it down"

@NYCsubaruBRZ
:laughabove:
he can contribute

Are you a **** to the cops when they pull you over? Those are all bs tickets. It's gotta be the car - I haven't been pulled over in a car for over 3 years until I got my frs and I was pulled over twice before I even put 1000 miles on the frs. Luckily, both troopers let me off though (97/65, 72/55) :party0030:

While you're wearing a half helmet, shorts, tshirt, and sandals? I don't wish for anyone to ever crash but you don't deserve to have a bike

...i would think this is true too but I had a road block set up on me (on my bike) in ghetto buffalo a few years back when I never did anything illegal in the first place

If you're wearing sandles while riding, you don't belong on a bike.

These days I'm trying to fly under the radar.. I had two movers the big one being a 96 in a 50 which cost me my license for a month from a state trooper..

Now a day I just get hassled for my tint really.. Nothing much

WillBRZ 11-18-2013 02:27 AM

in the last 2 months I have gotten
Speed Paced 85 in a 65 (merging onto a fwy)
Unsafe Lane Change (Merging on fwy did not wait 100 ft before crossing 2 lanes)
Speed Radar 83 in a 65 (late at night going with flow of traffic)
