TWO 6-1/2" SPEAKERS INSIDE REAR SEATS GTR STYLE
I'm wondering if anybody has attempted this yet?
if so any tips? I really want to do this and might begin this weekend, or sometime in the very near future. i picture it looking something like GTR rear speakers in the seats, at least that would be sick! haha http://blog.stillen.com/wp-content/g...20Speakers.jpg |
I think you're going to have a non-factory look if you do that. But if you can amp them, then that'll be good, I think.

I saw a picture of someone doing something like this a while back. Don't remember the thread though.

That would be awesome

I'm sure you could fiberglass an enclosure like that, with so many slim 6.5's on the market it should be small enough air space/enclosure size to leave the seat space available. I'd like that over the stealthbox.

On the French GT86 Forum, one of us make this particular installation. Have look!It is interesting with good results

^ I have to admit, that isn't bad looking. Problem is that most of us are looking for more bass than those could provide. If I'm cutting up a seat, I'm going bigger than that.

An 8" would probably fit into that area too. This thread reminded me there's been a lot of work on this for 90's Vipers, there must be a design we can swipe. Maybe @hoipong is still in touch with JL, they used his car for the stealthbox design. If JL can make the stealthbox in that location for Viper they should be able to do one for us.

It actually wasn't too hard to do.
The hardest part was growing the huevos to do it. :burnrubber: write up coming soon |
That's bad ass! Does it still fold down flat?

I feel if I put to much weight on the seat while it's folded down it might damage my grill on the bottom speaker  But other than that they're amped and god damn I needed something like this haha. :burnrubber: |
