Now Available: OpenFlash Tablet Datalogging/Datagraphing (BETA Release)

Hi guys,
While we still have a few bugs to work out and some changes to make, I wanted to get our customers something to play with in time for the weekend. Of course, this is a free update. To get it, just connect your OpenFlash Tablet to the OpenFlash Manager software and make sure your laptop has WIFI connectivity. And then just let it auto update (takes 30 second or so). After your your OFT updates, you should have access to these new features as shown in the video link below.

Video posted on our Facebook Page.

Please keep in mind that this is a very early BETA release. There are a few known bugs that we will resolve next week. Such as:

1) VVT Intake logging is not functional. It just reads 0 for now.
2) Advance Multiplier is not logged yet. Just need to work out the scaling. But it will be added just below LT Fuel Trim.
3) Throttle Act will be renamed Throttle Angle. And currently it logs idle motor duty cycle, not actual throttle angle ()
4) Datalogging to CSV file doesn't work just yet. So you won't actually be able to save a datalog yet. So this is mainly for viewing purposes right now.

Also, after these bugs are fixed, we will start working on an update that will allow you to have access to many more channels (but only 12 can be viewed/logged at the same time). There are still many more channels that are useful for tuning purposes (Engine Load g/rev, MAF voltage, Knock Correction, Manifold Pressure, etc,.) We also have some ideas on adding an menu option for displaying stylized digital dash/gauges. We will also be adding a screen showing the fine learning matrix.

Once again, this is an EARLY RELEASE so please be patient with regards to any issues. They will be resolved early next week.

Cheers,
Shiv

PS. OpenFlash Tablets are now back in stock :D

We are getting units programmed right now. Hopefully we can get all pending orders out today. But we will be limited by UPS pick up time. Any order not shipped out today will definitely ship out on Monday. Sorry for the wait. Last weeks SEMA show slowed the entire manufacturing/shipping process down :(

If someone in California wanted to physically pick-up a tablet from you guys, (when they are available) do you mind that? I only ask because I am in San Jose and picking one up rather than having it shipped kinda makes more sense, but then again I don't mind if it has to be shipped - just curious. thanks.

Sure. That's not a problem. Many locals come pick up from us directly since we offer an courtesy install if time permits. We will also be at the Dublin meet tonight if you wanted to pick one up and get it installed :)

Ok I know this may be a stupid question but I plugged in the OFT and opened my Flash Manager but I may have missed the device auto update.

With that, what should the most recent Hardware and Firmware version be?
