Any options to merge duplicate threads?
Case in point:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51071 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51307 Both are identical discussions, except one in BRZ and one in FRS section. This comes up pretty often lately, especially when there's a news story or article or link that pops up. -alex |
Those are bound to happen. Don't forget, it's a twin we're talking bout here.
Just let it go... |
I'm not forgetting about what the forum layout is like.
I am asking if there's an option to merge threads... if there isn't, then so be it. If there is, for some types of discussions it would be wise to consolidate it. A lot of redundant/useless threads keep popping up because of newbies and trolls alike, but also because the forum structure allows/promotes those types of posts. It's a cycle that is self-feeding... BRZ discussions >> FRS discussion >> goes off topic >> many different opinions/threads >> can't find in search function >> new topic in a few weeks >> rant(s) from senior members about using the search function >> repeat In any case, if you can't merge or if it's too much work, then so be it. -alex |
Yes, we can merge threads. Just report the thread you want merged and include the link to the second thread in the report. We will take care of it from there.

Idiots posting new threads should see the suggested threads on the same page. Sigh.
